Some time ago I suggested it would be great to have a Moonraker symphony, as John Barry wanted, and look what I found!

It's damn cool that this exists! There are some nice variations on the film versions of each cue, with added flourishes, and a few of the themes are extended. Some of the transitions between each piece are pretty great as well. Some parts of the transcriptions leave a bit to be desired but this is nevertheless a fine effort!

Edit: it's also worth pointing out that this is no overnight process-- it's a considerable endeavor to do all this, and I'm talking from experience!

@mattjoes nice find, a shame that it appears to be the only video he has uploaded. It would be interesting to see what he could do with some of the other scores.

I found it. It can be bought (and listened to) here.

    Not bad.

I thought I'd repost these on this thread to keep things organized. Last year @Gustav_Graves, kindly did some hard and excellent work ripping tracks from TSWLM, cleaning up the tracks and removing the sound, best he could and shared them with everyone.

It's a shame that TSWLM is still not available in full on CD, but at least most of these tracks can be heard in reasonable quality free from sfx.

24 - The Lotus Esprit Car Chase, Part 1 would make a great ring tone or message alert.

It may well be the most intense version of the Bond theme! :))

Moonraker Bondola chase music. Probably the best and cleanest version I've come across.

Here's something interesting. I was looking at the SoundtrackCollector page of FRWL, and a French EP release (United Artists 36043) is listed there. It includes five tracks. The names are in French, but it's easy to tell these tracks are the same as those included in the FRWL soundtrack album we're all familiar with (running times also match)... except for one: Mort de Krylenko. Could this be then the music that plays when Krilencu leaves Anita's mouth? The running time is 1:55, which seems to roughly match the length of the film cue (0:45 to 2:30 aprox.). Also, no other track in the FRWL album we know has a similar length. Is it possible this cue was included only on this release (and possibly a few select others we don't have information on)? It would be like those UK/US exclusive tracks on the GF soundtrack.

I did some googling and a member of the FSM forums mentions the record, but doesn't seem to provide personal verification regarding the track. He's making a logical deduction, like me.

Interesting find @mattjoes, I wouldn't know for certain but I did post that specific cue way back when. While not from that LP it's as good as it's going to get. :)

Indeed, @Murdock. Luckily, it was possible to get the cue in clean and essentially perfect shape from the film audio. Though it's just exciting to think the cue was probably officially released back in the day and nobody noticed!

Thanks for all the great work.

As far as The Living Daylights is concerned, is the only track that's not been ripped or recreated the one where Bond has just escaped having shot Pushkin and meets the two girls offering to party with them? (Only to be kidnapped by them and find they're working for Leiter).

I think there are at least two more tracks. One is a brief cue heard in Afghanistan (don't recall exactly where right now) and the other one is a romantic piece in the very last scene of the film.

(At least I haven't seen those around!)

I've got a MIDI of the sax music of the scene with the girls. Very simple and brief piece.
