Why bother going to one of the 3 most expensive countries on the PLANET to shoot a scene that could be filmed in plenty of other, much cheaper countries in Europe? There is no way this is the only Norwegian filming location of Bond 25.

I mentioned this in a previous comment. Given the incentives offered the production, you'd think they'll film at a second location as well. I wonder however if the Nittedal location might double for somewhere else (as it looks like it can be anywhere), and that for logistical reasons it's cheaper to film the Nittedal sequence and a second one over here, instead of moving the production to two different countries.

    Exactly. Hakadal is probably Austria.

That's what I gather as well. Still, it's weird that we haven't heard of other Norway locations being greenlit.

Yes, it is. Still early though.
I'm only guessing all this based on the incentives. A cabin in the woods, two intruders and a girl doesn't reflect the incentives offered, but it could always be a part of a larger sequence of course.

    That's a good guess!

Films release on Thursdays in Aus, so it'll most likely be the 16th or 23rd April here.

I'd say the 23rd is more likely, as it falls just after the Easter school holidays.

    Term 1 = 28 January - Friday 3 April
    Term 2 = 20 April - Friday 26 June
Ah, of course. I didn't take Easter into account. What's yet another week of waiting? ;)

Cabin in the snowy woods? A young girl fending off two intruders? Sounds like The Spy Who Loved Me!

    Half joking, of course.

They might have got the inspiration from the novel.
  • So is Hinx coming back?

Maybe Rami’s big bad calls in two henchman to kill Bond.

Hinx steps into view, then ... Flea, played by Lupita.

I loved that cheese from TSWLM.

Except this time, Hinx will be the ‘helpful chap’ and Flea the consistent threat.

Yes. So far this is the only new Bond film I haven't been too excited for based on what little we know. I wouldn't be surprised if the title is underwhelming.

We see Rami hang up the phone - cut to Hinx getting stopped at the airport metal detector.

I absolutely hate heavy-handed references and I know you’re joking, but seriously (and against my better judgement) I’d be alright with that!

Bring it. If Craig goes out with nothing but a few laughs, I’m totally down.

Daniel Craig To Star In One-Night-Only Stage Reading For Off Broadway’s New York Theatre Workshop
    https://deadline.com/2019/02/daniel-craig-off-broadway-a-number-caryl-churchill-new-york-theatre-workshop-stage-reading-1202566630/

Directed by Sam Gold (Tony Award winner in 2015 for Fun Home), the reading is set for Sunday March 10 at 7 pm at NYTW. Tickets go on sale today, and the reading will benefit NYTW’s Artist Workshop and Education programming.
Love that he's still allowed to do stuff like this. We all know that if we were in 1964, Cubby and Harry probably would've never allowed Connery to do this kind of work outside of James Bond. No disrepect to them as producers at all, but because their extremely fast turn-around on movies, Connery couldn't catch a break.

In 1964 Sean Connery stepped aside from Bond and shot MARNIE with Alfred Hitchcock and WOMAN OF STRAW for Basil Dearden.

If we follow previous timelines, we can expect the first teaser trailer to drop in August or September. :-)
I would urge against ever using other timelines for future ones. It doesn't work like that.

Another poster pointed this out earlier but thanks for clarifying :) Either way I'm glad to see Craig getting loads more work. A lot of people think 007 is a role you can't escape from once you've done it, but that's not true at all. I think Daniel Craig's career will sky-rocket even further once he's finally left the role, as sad as it'll be to see him go.

Rest assured, even if it's a sub-par title (I have faith in EON), it will have no effect on the quality of the film.

With Cary Joji Fukunaga directing, it's pretty much guaranteed Bond 25 will have the best title since Casino Royale.

As long as it doesn't sound like the title of a 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' episode, I'll be happy :)

I like all of them (the short story titles included that haven’t been used). Even using some of the chapter names in the series would be cool if it fit.

Risico The property of a lady the Hildebrand rarity and 007 in new York haven't been done nor have a classic chapter titles

For Fleming Bond fans, sure Property Of A Lady works. For the general public, I don't think so. Quite unexciting. It sounds like a Regency period historical drama that aspires to costume and make up awards.

Octopussy worked. From Russia With Love sounded like a post card or romance novel. And so on.

I don't think there's really a limit to Bond film titles, they instantly take on their own sort of greatness. So far, anyway. A Fleming title is still a sure thing.

there are chapter titles that would get none fleming fans happy heck if the whole Shatterhand thing is anything to go by mainstream media is fine with about any title

I always felt The Garden of Death would work and has a from Russia with love sort of vibe

I agree, I'd love to see them take aspects from the short story itself, like Octopussy did, but if hey're gonna pick an unused Fleming title, it's probably gonna be Risico. It's the most Bondian out of the bunch, and as long as it's given appropriate context it could really work.

Well, we had the so intriguing/confusing title of Quantum of Solace, so anything goes.
I like: Denouement ... which wouldn't work either, though apt.
Sorry there is a separate thread for guessing titles. I'll hop over there later.
At least with Cary, I don't think he'd settle for: Spectre II. ;)

I would be fine with both The Property of a Lady and Shatterhand for the last Craig entry.

Risico is fine but I would save it for the next Bond actor.

Hildebrand Rarity is just bland. 007 in NY is obviously out of the equation.

Having said that I hope they would come up with something new and creative.
