Agree, had a look at some photo's of all the Superman actors earlier. Reeves cape below the knee was spot on.
Superman is the greatest for me, very happy with the title. Keep it simple.
Campea misses allusions to Smallville regarding the crest.

Personally I want hype and discourse for Superman as much as possible.
A crime to cinema this was cut, Superman Returns needs a extended cut. This scene alone cost 10 million dollars. It is the best scene in the film if included.
It’s more intriguing than the way Superman was cinematically reintroduced (falling unconscious into Martha’s arms). I do wish we could see what the final version of that deleted scene would have been like.
At the same time, I get why it’s cut. The actual movie we got has pacing issues and this would have likely just added to those if not done right.
I love Superman, my movie room is full of Superman, Batman, Star Trek and Bond memorabilia/art.
I hate the early scene with Lex manipulating the elderly lady, sets the film off badly they should have cut that out. I have a catalog of issues with Superman Returns Super Stalker, not the biggest fan of the film.
To be fair the plane scene is brilliant and when Superman saves the city is good, I think Brandon Routh is great he is not the issue. I am glad Routh got some redemption in playing Kingdom Come Superman in the Arrowverse.

It occurred to me I have not seen any films (I think) with Corenswet, been meaning to watch Pearl, on annual leave so will watch it later today, see how a good an actor he is.
That was great!
Superman: Legacy:
Laila Robins and Linden Ashby are in talks to play Ma and Pa Kent.
[From a different user] "I have a source that is friends with production crew for the Superman film. And some details; Clark in this film is extremely vulnerable and human in this film, you really wanna give this guy a big hug, he struggles with internally with his place in the world as a hero and questions weather hr cut out for this superhero gig, other superheroes in the community are really fascainating in ideology to what makes a hero or what are the confines of what hero should be? Mr. Terrifics suits is gold probable the best looking and engineer is so cool in this film, all l am gonna say for now!"
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow:
Niki Caro is in talks to direct.
Coates/Abrams Superman:
“Abrams' Superman was remodeled to bem Matt's universe. Gunn wants to do something different and have the dcu universe well constructed and have another universe like Earth 2, and in the future make a union, Gunn accepted Warner's idea of a multiverse, but you want to do it right and well constructed without being left out and poorly done.”
I wouldn't be opposed to JJ Abrams actually directing The Elseworlds version of Superman. As long as Lex, Zod or another villain isn't turned into Doomsday. Knowing him, he could be as controversial as Zack Snyder. He did bring back The Emperor in Star Wars, although I think Snyder would have done something similar in Star Wars.
I'm still nervous that Superman and Supergirl villains from the comics won't be adapted. It's time for Metallo, Brainiac, Parasite, even Toyman and Silver Banshee to be adapted for cinema. Please don't let us down, WB and DC!
Awesome sauce.
Being one of the comic experts, and certainly the biggest Superman fan I know, @MaxCasino , what’s you think of the emblem?
It’s unique in a good way. Most people know by now what I’m hoping for with this movie. The same could be said for the Supergirl movie, who may or may not have the same logo.
I think it's pretty cool too. It's not "aggressively different" for the sake of being different. It's clean looking...
Kinda refreshing Gunn opted not to cast these parts with A-list actors. I’d like to see Eon do the same with their next MI6 staff. Not casting A-list prevents filmmakers from feeling obligated to give them larger parts than necessary.

(I don't like it, I'm afraid. Why can't we have a nice, simple, brightly coloured one?)

I don't mind the suit, Supes being sat down adds a bit of mystery to what it will look like when he is stood up or in action. Superman looks like he has been in a fight with his suit covered in scorch/burn marks.
The most important thing is he really looks the part.
And yeah, putting on your boots as if you’re going out for a walk… it does lack drama, but now I wonder, is it supposed to be a playful pic of the Boy Scout of the Sky, just moments before he’s called to save the world, yet again?
🤷♂️
Either way, thanks for reminding of the Cavill reveal. That was cool. That was showing a man of action…..
This image if in the movie does suggest one thing to me and that is All Star Superman if that is a giant eye in the background.
Gunn said in the post that it was taken on set: I don't think he's in character there.
A thing I think is important with Superman's costume is the wide open neckline. Somehow to me that underlines that he's basically invulnerable - he doesn't need to protect his neck. Also he doesn't need a polar neck because he doesn't feel the cold - I just don't like these supersuits with high necks. Probably sounds silly but I think it's part of the silhouette of the suit.
Pfft. Well he's got red trunks at least.
I hated that image reveal. It made his Superman look too angry and aggressive, and the muted colors didn’t work. Turned out that was accurate representation of Snyder’s Superman being an aggressive ungentle mope.
