Thought this might be a difficult choice at first, then realized it really wasn't. Casino Royale and Quantum are about neck and neck for me in my rankings; CR places just one spot higher. But when it comes down to it, Quantum has far greater rewatchability value for me. Incidentally, Skyfall is a film that has grown on me and while it certainly has more than its share of flaws, I'd feel more inclined to throw SF on than CR (going back to rewatchability again).
SPECTRE is currently, regrettably, a bottom-fiver for me. Hope this changes some day—maybe it will—but the whole affair feels so uninspired and redundant to me. There are simply not enough elements that get me excited about revisiting this film (a good torture sequence and train fight and opening tracking shot and that's about it).
So two films (one great, the other not so much) that I don't feel inclined to revisit often vs. two films (one great, the other average-ish) that I do feel inclined to revisit often.
Plus, QOS and SF boast some of the greatest cinematography in the entire series and I'm a big fan of great looking films. Would hate to lose all those spectacularly framed shots.
Sucks to lose Casino Royale though—like OHMSS before it, one of the best and truest adaptations of Fleming's novels, and the best villain of Craig's era in Mads Mikkelson's LeChiffre.
I second this.
The first half doesn't come from the novel and in the last part they relegate Vesper's tragical suicide to a cheap action chaos. CR isn't particularly more Fleming than TLD/LTK as far as I'm concerned.
you can only choose:
CR and SP together
or
QOS and SF together
one option has to go
Originally I thought it was Casino & Skyfall, vs. Quantum and Spectre, which I imagine would be very easy for other people but would have been a lot tougher for me.
Inhumane as they are they let us choose between CR/SP getting eradicated or QOS/SF.
It is a divorce settlement. You have a dvd player and a bluray player. Two films in each format.
His last name is Deschanel. The brother of famed actress Zooey Deschanel, albeit not seen or heard of due to his career as a super-spy.
OK. You are Daeshchanel. As always.
Who the f**k mentioned 'divorce' ????

Divorced and bald, if you keep going like that.
