I'm not to familiar with Niven myself, and I've never seen CR 67.

You shouldn't watch CR 67, but there are a plethora of films to see Niven shine. If you want a decent action flick, search out The Sea Wolves, in which he stars alongside Sir Rog.

David Niven is the only Bond to get a mention from Fleming in one of his novels.

When Kissy Suzuki (the Japanese Greta Garbo), the mother of Bond s child, was a Hollywood actress, the only one who was a gentleman towards her (no other names mentioned, unfortunately) was David Niven. All the others wanted to screw her, the poor child.

She named a cormorant who helped her catch fish after him, she had raised him since he was a baby.

Raised the cormorant since he was a baby, not Niven. In case someone didn t get it.

Yes and if Niven qualifies as Bond then you can include him as well:

Nelson, Lazenby, Brosnan and Craig are no Sherlock material. And neither is Moore!

David Niven takes this with ease of course.

    New question:

Which Bond would you rather have a statue of in your garden?

    Barry Nelson- (Good luck, chum!)
    Sean Connery-
    David Niven-
    George Lazenby-
    Roger Moore-
    Timothy Dalton-
    Pierce Brosnan-
    Daniel Craig-

It would have to be a fountain with a statue of Craig in the speedo, naturally.
