But what would the story even be about?
"Little did you all know, Die Hard 1 didn't mark the first time John McClane got himself into trouble on accident, and became a reluctant hero to hundreds. That story, is the one we tell here."
Give me a break.
I don't think it'd have a chance of matching the original classic, but I must say that the film's exploration of homosexuality (a taboo viewed as unnatural) and use of a corrupt police force that targets minorities are just as relevant today as they were in the late 60s.
I'd personally rather see it not be remade, however.
Welcome to the party, pal.
DIE HARD, 30 years old at this point, has my favourite Bruce Willis.
It's arguably also still the best of the 5.
I rank them:
1) DIE HARD
2) DIE HARD WAV
3) DIE HARDER
4) LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD
5--->10000) Watching my neighbor water her plants
10001) A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD
Am I to include THE DETECTIVE as well? :)

Yesterday I saw the latest pics from Shyamalan´s new film, where Bruce has at least short hair, and he looks so much cooler!
I wonder if he got depressed long ago, or manic-depressive and is constantly on tranquilizers.
I rank them:
1) Die Hard
2)-54) all the films from my DVD shelf
55) Die Hard waV
56-58) the others in any order
Not in this list anyway. The Detective is a very good film but also completely different. Old Blue Eyes isn't running around with machine guns, that's for sure. I love this film, don't get me wrong. A very risky film for its time, with great acting all around and a fine score. Oh and Jacqueline Bisset, albeit in a minor role.
