That cartoon reminds me of The Incredible Shrinking Bond starring Mel Gibson:
:)
Yes, it's a kind of sliding scale. I first heard of it when Mel Gibson mentioned it in a TV interview with some film show here in the UK years ago. Gibson had a good laugh at it himself! I only found it posted online somewhere years ago, and the cartoon above brought it all back home to me!
It wasn't that far back when I saw it. I think Brosnan was still Bond at the time so I'm guessing I saw this interview in the late 90s/early 00s. I think it was one of those film review programmes that used to be on ITV on a Saturday afternoon.
Yes, during the uncertain time between LTK in 1989 and Brosnan's announcement as the new Bond actor in 1994. All joking aside, his height likely would have been a factor hoping against him. Just look at the baying press hounds* unleashed when Craig was announced as the new Bond actor in October 2005, partly because he was too short compared to the other Bonds that had gone before him!
Yes, that's a big no-no for a Bond actor! Even Cubby said so and he's the oracle in these matters of casting.
I once tried editing the Goldfinger scene to achieve this but it proved beyond my capabilities. Here's hoping someone gives it a try. It's a funny idea.
"Ohhh, I am (some Danish word) tired and exhausted! I have been up all night to get Emma Mathilde to fall asleep."
After they both have gotten a wife and kids, James Bond and his archrival Blofeld meet again.
