That Ken Adam set...outstanding
One hour in is the first hint of Blofeld with only Bond mentioning Spectre up to that point (and Osato referring to Brandt as Number 11)
"Kill Bond! Now!"
Unfortunately words I will never speak..."This is my Ninja Training School"
Poor Aki...
Barry doing fine work here
Wait...Bond says 'Bon Apetit' but how does he know they're piranha down there?
"It'll be a pleasure sir"...Moneypenny gets the last line of the film. Only time in the series?
It's exotic, it's 60s, it's Bondmania, Even Connery's casual performance has grown on me. Love rewatching it and I find I put it on a lot. Fun, easy watch,
What great memories! Drive-in at '68 with the two Bondmania films - fantastic. As a kid did you enjoy TB or YOLT more?
Chinese backing,Major.
Kinky......
But I was thinking - that's a hell of an expensive way to start a war (Eliot carver's was significantly cheaper). Believe me - I admire the vision of Spectre...but how the hell did they carve out a volcano, put all that infrastructure in there - launching pads, mono rails, spaceships capable of swallowing other space ships, fake gas, a retractable roof. Without it raising the collective eyebrows of curious locals higher than Sir Roger?
It would be a funny sketch to see Blofeld applying for resource consent at the local village regional council meeting.
Maybe he'd pitch it to the community like Daniel Plaineview at the start of There Will Be Blood.
Very interesting to know that. Off the top of my head, it must be the shortest time between Bond meeting the bad guy and the end credits, with the exception of FRWL (Klebb) and TLD (only for Whitaker).
A few odd circumstances...
DAF - within the first few moments (although he's not technically Blofeld?)
LTK - a strange one as Bond captures Sanchez...yet they don't technically meet face to face.
Dismissing DAF and LTK as not actually meeting the villain instead would it be two Brosnan's?
GE - Bond and Alec on the mission.
DAD - Moon and Bond over an exchange of diamonds.
The lovely Valerie Leon appearance here...followed by Nigel.
Actually viewing the 1999/2000 DVD edition and feeling the colors here are better than the later release.
Bond and Fatima getting it on. Sex on the boat floor looks comfortable. On a little mat right next to a huge rope. Maybe Fatima was creative?
I remember the shark sequence in the cinema was pretty intense.
Valerie Leon is one of my favorite bond girls as well as Hammer glamour beauties.
I like Connery's delivery of the line here. He's almost apologizing for perving on her earlier.
I really love the casino section in this film. The video game is dated, but ahead of it's time as video games are bigger than ever today. Far more advanced.
