I'd much rather be tortured by Elektra or Scorpion Girl than Le Chiffre (or Waltz's Blofeld.).
Pierce is great in this scene.
One....last...screw....
Bond's effed up shoulder really does seem to bother him throughout this film.
If I were to nitpick anything here....I don't think Bond should have ditched his jacket.
He'd look pretty cool in these scenes with his suit soaked. Similar to the scene on the island in DAD, except this suit wouldn't have shrunk.
I have fond memories of that screening as well.
I don't really care to hear the Bond theme played during closing credits. I much prefer a reprise of the title track.
I suppose ONLY MYSELF TO BLAME might have been too melancholy to end the film on.
I do like that song, though.
They missed a trick by not includibg that song.
I really liked that song.
Great observation, this is definitely more Pierce's territory than Sean's.
Bringing up all the cool little moments here!
I agree with all that.
I'm not a big fan of the song, but I'm inclined to give it a listen now. I do love the instrumental version of it that we hear throughout the score (especially in Elektra's Theme). Really, I think what I don't like is Scott Walker's voice; it sounds a little strained to me (not saying it necessarily was, it just sounds that way to me). Maybe it'll grow on me, it's been a while since I listened to this!
I absolutely love the Bond theme version they did for the end credits, both the film version and the album version!
Damn I love the crane fight sequence followed by Bond shooting and beating up everyone at the Embassy. Great stuff.
I maintain the firm belief that had Eon backed out of the reboot idea and cast Pierce here, this would have been the pre-title sequence.
Pierce probably would have done this entire sequence in a beige suit.
Mads is one of my all time favorite villains. He's great. I'd love to see him play Dracula.
M is in a foul mood.
I love Bond breaking into her flat.
They'll be Sir Roger's age in A VIEW TO A KILL when we finally get to see NO TIME TO DIE.
I was posting a new ranking here every couple weeks. Or was it days?
Solange is amazing.
I once worked for a convention center that had a Bodyworks exhibit back in '06.
It was a good excuse to bring up the Bond film in conversation.
I never did buy the soundtrack. I was too disappointed YKMN wasn't included. I was outright pissed, actually.
Craig certainly gets banged around here.
This is one Bond film I've lost count on how many times I saw it in the cinema.
I had a friend who immediately loved this film more than any of the other Bonds.
There were several times he'd call on a whim and suggest catching the next showing of CR.
This film certainly was refreshing after DAD and the 2nd longest gap in the series (until then).
Great Bond film and a great viewing. Definitely earns it's reputation as one of the best films of the series.
I actually prefer the shot where Bond gets off the plane in the Bahamas. So cool, they used it in that awesome first trailer!
as it made the Ford Mondeo look cool ;) CR and OHMSS are at the top of my
Bond movie list.
SKYFALL.
I might actually end up ranking this even higher than CR in spite of it's shortcomings.
Craig looks extremely cool with the scorpion on his arm. Great scene.
John Barry had a nice flat. I think Michael Caine should have made a cameo in this M scene. That would have been funny,
Bond looks like Hell in this scene, though but he's intended to.
I'm digging the sh*t out of his haircut here, though. In some scenes the short military cut looks great on him.
This movie, in fact reminds me of NSNA.
Out in the middle of nowhere, probably hard to make friends when you're a wee lad.
Wait, of course!! He had Waltz's Blofeld as his best buddy. We'll find that out next time.
That said, I'm thinking Craig has looked better with each entry. He looks great in what little we've seen of NTTD.
LIVE AND LET DIE, and walked out with the Craig in SKYFALL haircut.
