Bond and Melinas yellow diving suits remind me of the Moonraker space suits!

The keel hauling set piece is superbly done.

Is that blood in the water...or dye from Rogs hair?? 🤣

Mickey G cameo. Though he's hard to spot.

The climax has a great setting. Though the monks in the monastery were pretty uncooperative! Its a spectacular climbing sequence! We also get the start of Glens signature bird scare!!

The end Janet Brown/Maggie Thatcher appearance is a bit cringey. She never did her convincingly imo!
No matter, this was a solid viewing of FYEO, its well made but just lacks something.

Great write up, @Mathis1! FYEO is one of my go-to Bonds. I've always loved it.

Michael Gothard is an imposing villain. He's great in a movie called 'Scream and Scream again'

Yep agree mate. And he was pretty memorable in The Devils

Agree mate. It's a really impressive sequence. Even when I watch it, I still can't fathom out how they did some of the shots!

Yeh, mate, I can understand how they didnt use it for 'LALD' as it was so difficult to do!

I'm watching TOMORROW NEVER DIES in honor of Pierce's 70th.

Bond just reunited with Paris. His hair looks perfect after a night of hot steamy sex.
I love movies where women cheat on their crappy husbands.

This is my current favorite Brosnan movie.
    Wai Lin is bad ass.
Brosnan looks great in these fight scenes.

It's been taking a lot of effort for me to pop in the Bond films this year. Perhaps the lack of official news? I feel like I do when going thru a breakup. Out of sight/ out of mind.

That said, this viewing of TND is the best I've had since seeing it on the big screen back in 1997.

    Love the halo jump sequence.

I also love the underwater scuba sequence. This Bond movie really fits the bill of what I'm looking for in Bond right now.

I had the opposite reaction at his second appearance! Horribly annoying character! Much prefer Baker as Whitaker!

I must agree. Watching the Jack Wade character is like pulling teeth for me. So annoying. And I like the actor a lot!

Haha! Yeah. TBH I think he makes Sheriff JW Pepper look like....well, Bond.

Time for one of my all time favorite movies...........

    A VIEW TO A KILL.

I really should be going to bed and sleeping, for tomorrow is work.
That wouldn't stop James Bond, so it won't stop me.

    I'm at the stables/chateau section.
I reset my television for the heck of it and now the picture is in factory preset mode.

I like Allison Doody. I can't help think of Pierce Brosnan's iconic line whenever I see her and it cracks me up.

    Bond is giving Tibbett sh*t.

Enjoy AVTAK @ToTheRight, but as one 1985 review stated: ".. everything about this film screams old.

I love the St John Smythe cover. I need to see Bond chase girls.
There was a guy in the supermarket trying to do the same, but scaring them off. One young beauty came to me to grab whatever she needed because the creepy guy was there, so I readily agreed. I half jokingly suggested she carry a whistle. She laughed and was on her merry way.
The creepy guy then approached me to complain she wouldn't give him the time of day.
I told him not everyone can be James Bond (except myself and all of us on the MI6 forum). and he left. It was funny..........

    Here we go............Bond and Mayday.
    Classic!

True, but I am missing the tired formula these days. Also, Sir Roger is looking better and better in this film as I get older.

    =))

Kiding aside, I can understand your point about the "formula" being absent from the recent films.

I'm not sure I buy the theory that Pola Ivanova was originally intended to be Agent XXX.
Is there actual documentation of this? Like an early draft?
I personally would rather not see former Bond girls return. No Wai-Lin, no Camille, no Jinx, etc
Let them exist in there own respective Bond films. I suppose Madeleine's return is different as NTTD is a sequel and not a stand alone.
