Brie Larson is going to do a phenomenal job as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. Perfect casting.

Why in God's name do they look like they were colored with those stupid glitter markers that were popular in the late 90s?

Why are their suits made of (what appear to be) Jolly Ranchers?

If they are, what on earth happened? I remember the original Power Rangers, and those suits look better than these modern ones. These ones look like bargain basement cosplay Power Rangers.

Awww I think they look cool. Otherworldly, it makes perfect sense!
    Check em out in action:

I sorta hope they just keep the green suits. Those'll look better than whatever they'd paint over them with.

@Creasy47, @MajorDSmythe, as far as I understand it, the suits are supposed to be alien in origin, and have been designed to appear from another world. I personally think they look like garbage.

And they somehow got Bryan Cranston to play Zordon in this. They've gotta have some great blackmail material on him.

@Master_Dahark, I had no idea he played two monsters in the 90s run! That's crazy.

As Zordon, I want him to pay homage to Breaking Bad in some way.

"Rangers, evil's out there, knocking at earth's door. You've got to show them that we're the ones who knock. That we're the danger!"

And they've gotten included a cameo by a new ranger near the end, that Zordon calls on personally...

Ragnarok has some serious potential to be mind-blowingly good. The Winter Soldier of the Thor films.

@Thunderfinger, exactly. And at the end of the movie it's revealed that Thor's love interest Jane has been an ogre all along.

    Luckily Jane isn't in Ragnarok.

@doubleoego, have Marvel/Disney just left Jane behind at this point? I think there were some frustrations in the past between Portman and Marvel because she wanted to quit Dark World when one of her friends dropped out of directing it. Maybe they aren't on good terms at this point, and that's why Jane only gets passing mentions here and there in the movies now.

Not sure if it's the whole Patty Jenkins situation that's responsible for Portman not returning but as things stand, Jane's simply just not involved which just as well seeing as most of the film takes place in various parts of the cosmos.

I don't know but I really enjoy the 2 Thor films, especially the one from 2013 that is a total blast form start to finish.

Marvel has announced that Avengers: Infinity War will be 1 film only, not split into 2 as previously planned.

I don't think it was ever two movies, I just think they were two separate movies that when connected tell one story.

Having watched JL trailer and Batman/Bruce Wayne cracking lame jokes and lifting Stark's scene with Spiderman - Marvel is not in the photocopier business.

All first DC trailers have looked great and then it goes downhill. DC is so willing to please and 'listen' to the fans that it worries me. I feel as I've seen Suicide Squad already.

Marvel have played it cool and focused on the substance and left the style to DC at the recent reveals at Comic Con.

Dr.Strange, Black Panther, GoG2, the Netflix Marvel universe makes be totally satisfied a la Goldfinger.

The only thing is that they've never given black widow her own movie - that is boo - and DC have WW first.

In the end they are cannibalizing themselves because there are distinct similarities (at least conceptually) between the two universes even though most prefer Marvel, who has definitely executed better to date.

I think the more unique and less known characters (to the general audience) like Deadpool, GoG and Suicide Squad stand a chance of surprising on the upside going forward, while the more popular ones and certainly the large ensemble efforts could be less successful than expected (although still make bucketloads of money).

I'm more of a DC fan, but even I could admit that scene looked awfully familiar...
