DN is the better film, but YOLT is a classic in my eyes and wins 11-6 .

I like YOLT more but when it comes to rankings I admit DN is just better.
Title Credits: YOLT - Great use of volcanoes and Japanese motifs. One of Binder's best.
Main Villain: DN - Despite the limited screentime oozes more menace and class than shrieking Ernst.
Main Bond Girl: DN - Despite the fact Kissy is actually single handedly responsible for saving the world by telling the ninjas about the volcano I'm afraid she's still pretty underwhelming. Besides the Bond girl is largely about being sexiful and Honey has that in spades.
Henchman: DN - Hans a dismal Grant clone and whilst I wouldn't class Dent as henchman per se he is of far more interest.
Overall Plot: YOLT - Despire the plot essentially being the same (interfering with rockets) and despite DN's being more stripped back and realistic and despite YOLT's making no sense (in which shops does Ernst plan to spend his - now worthless - dollars after WW3 has concluded?) I still can't help but love the outrageous bonkersness of a villain who wants to cause Armageddon by swallowing up space capsules.
Dialogue: DN - Close but DN shades it just for the dinner scene with Doctor No alone.
Score: YOLT - Sweeping strings which defined the Barry Bond sound and what can be said about the rooftop fight that hasn't already?
Settings: YOLT - Although DN is very evocative YOLT was the first truly exotic Bond and does a fabulous job of showing us Japan in all its weird and wonderful splendour.
Action: YOLT - Little Nellie, the aforementioned dock fight, the rumble in Osato's office and the epic final assault on the volcano.
Humour: YOLT - 'The things I do for England.'
Cinematography: YOLT - Simply stunning. Only OHMSS comes close until SF set the benchmark.
Benign Bizarre: Tie - Tarantulas and metal hands v poison down a thread and ninjas.
Suspense: YOLT - When Bond is in his space suit on the monorail and Barry's ominous music ramps up you genuinely feel the world is at stake.
Minor Characters: YOLT - Tiger, Henderson, Osato, Helga, Aki. Although Quarrel is excellent they win it by sheer force of numbers.
Glamour: DN - The casino scene smoking a fag, winning the hand and pulling a bird before heading of for a briefing with M then coming back for a quick shag and jetting off to Jamaica for Queen and country? Who wouldn't want to be that man rather than masquerading as a Japanese fisherman?
Bond Performance: DN - It gets better with age and might actually the all time best portrayal of the character.
DN: 6
YOLT: 10
Tie: 1
Surprising. Objectively DN is clearly the better film but YOLT's epicness somehow just works.

Title Track: You Only Live Twice (20-80)
Nancy Sinatra gives us a timeless classic.
Title Credits: You Only Live Twice (25-75)
Not the best of its era, but still a well crafted title film.
Main Villain: Dr. No (75-25)
Probably my favorite portrayed Blofeld (From Russia With Love is likely the best), but just like all the others he falls short of brilliance.
Main Bond Girl: Dr. No (75-25)
Honey scores another victory thanks in part to Anki's split female lead.
Henchman: You Only Live Twice (30-70)
Alluring follow up in the femme fatale category.
Overall Plot: Dr. No (80-20)
You Only Live Twice begins the trend of a greater divergence from the source material.
Dialogue: Dr. No (70-30)
While the script is tidy for You Only Live Twice, Dr. No is gleaming with brilliance here.
Score: You Only Live Twice (0-100)
Arguably the best and my personal favorite score by the master!
Settings: You Only Live Twice (35-65)
It's pretty close, but the way Japan is captured is breathtaking.
Action: You Only Live Twice (40-60)
I often look down on the volcano battle, but it's loaded with other great combat sequences.
Humor: Dr. No (70-30)
I prefer the dry humor to the hit or miss quips.
Cinematography: You Only Live Twice (25-75)
There is a lot to take in that I find myself having more favorable views as time goes by.
Benign Bizarre: You Only Live Twice (40-60)
I always marvel how there is an invisible second helicopter providing Bond and Aki with aerial of the giant car magnet doing its drop in the ocean.
Suspense: Dr. No (80-20)
Right when M declares, "This is the big one," the story plays across the screen close to expectations.
Minor Characters: Dr. No (55-45)
Both have respectable casts, I prefer the characters in Dr. No. No Q does make it very close.
Glamor: Dr. No (75-25)
This would likely swing to You Only Live Twice without the asian transformation.
Bond Performance: Dr. No (80-20)
Connery continues his plunge into a more casual representation of the character he made and owned in Dr. No.
Dr. No (9) (51-49) (8) You Only Live Twice

EDIT: Nvm, I think I misinterpreted what you said. The villain Dr No being the "brilliance", of course. I think that's agreeable; I prefer him over Pleasance's Blofeld myself.

Title Credits: OHMSS
Main Villain: DN (Blofeld is great, but the title character edges it)
Main Bond Girl: OHMSS (Honey is iconic, but she can't compete with Bond's one and only wife)
