But i'm still left with the question wether we are allowed to post in the activity page at all or how much.
You must also understand I entertained the thought that there was a certain disapproval from the mod team about these bantery conversations, because the last time this subject was brought up in this very thread (when the issue of there being too much "footfall" on the Activity page was mentioned), we were encouraged to move the conversations from the Activity page to their own thread, which actually happened (I think the thread was called The Alternate "Everything Goes" James Bond Conversation Thread), but some time later it suddenly vanished without a trace, which, without any explanation being given for its disappearance, and considering the vanishing posts on the Activity page, could certainly make one consider the possibility these sorts of things were being discouraged by the mod team.
Post to your heart's content on the Activity Page, but if the comments are going to turn into a big Bond quote-fest, then please use the existing thread instead:

Conversing on a forum thread and on a certain user’s page are far from being the same thing.
I'd have to say it's not quite an issue of privacy for me. The point is that it's comfortable for each user to have their own page, where conversations can take place regarding that user's own posted content (text, images, videos, whatever). The experience just wouldn't be the same in a forum thread like the free chat one, in which you can't follow an individual user's history like you can in an activity page. You'd just get a big messy salad of posts. Private messaging isn't the same either as it doesn't provide the features and format of a user activity page.
Shows how little interest most of us, mods, actually have in that page. ;-)
Yes I had posts and entire conversations deleted and was told it was because the mod team was trying to keep the page cleaned up. Glad it’s open again!
As you can imagine the page shows us (for example) when new members join (and we can check’em out), and when members change their profile pictures ( we check that these are ok to use).
So, when we asked for a little less of the Facebook style usage it was only so we could monitor things a bit better. Or at least that’s the idea.
There’s no hard fast rule here, so we don’t implement it too strictly . That’s why there is no consistency.
So please do use it, but bear with us if we clean it up at times.
As for @mattjoes original point, I’m not sure what did happen there.
I am on an iPhone and it’s really annoying attempting to constantly write out spoiler tags and swift through tags in the Bond 25 production thread.
Two options.
First, BOND 25 PRODUCTION THREAD (no spoiler tags)
BOND 25 Discussion (spoiler tags only)...
Or make the following.
Bond 25 production thread
Bond 25 Spoiler thread (No spoiler tags)
It would make it so much easier for everyone to discuss photos/videos and leaked info without constantly doing that.
Why do people even visit the production thread but get mad when they see set photos?
Because they are bored and dying for news

Please feel free to drop the first comments in that thread. :)
Thanks!!
Just to put this Gareth business to bed, we have always attempted to help him and offer support so that he would and could use these forums correctly. When he posted fan posters in the Production thread we steered him to the right place. When he posted ideas for Bond 25 titles we steered him to the right place.
How did he react?
He argued the points and went back to posting everything in the Production thread.
When he multi posted we tried to help him understand how the edit worked, but he continued to multi post, and argue with the mods as he went along.
The final straw was when he announced he was leaving the forums for good and I helped him along with the ban button. Had he waited he would have received an email explaining it was an initial 7 day suspension, which could have easily been revoked.
Then the multiple accounts began to drop in. Which proved to us that we were right about him all along. We now have to refer this to the admin team to take further action.
Apologies for everyone sucked into this. Hopefully we don't come across as too draconian.
And before anyone says it, Gareth was not an April fools gag. ;)
But in a way, he was ;-)
You have something to say to me? You’re not even British and I have defended you on here before MOD EDIT: angry comments discussed and apologised for.
Good. No more politics on MI6.
"Democracy."
