    All of the tracks mentioned are available on YouTube, so I don't think I'll be buying this.

    I appreciate this and will consider purchasing it, though the price is a little more than I'd want to pay.

    But why oh why can't it be one of the Barrys that was never given the SE treatment?

    Probably because these tracks are much easier to obtain, in that they were originally saved as digital files.

    This is good news, as it means there's a chance for the other scores to surface in expanded versions.

    Anybody here from the Film Score Monthly forum? Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe someone said over there, perhaps a year ago, that La La Land had looked into releasing expanded Bond scores.

    Audio quality is excellent as I always check before converting them. It's the full soundtrack with many more tracks than the crap 'official' soundtrack release.

    I remember that, and then it went a bit quiet. But they were certainly talking about scores rather than just one. Hopefully this means more to come.

    You downloaded in lossless?

    The original release was hampered by Madonna hogging the CD with CR-Rom rubbish. This release has more tracks than ever escaped before.

    The soundtrack I downloaded has over 50 tracks taken from an unofficial release in 2005. Including alternate tracks and trailer music.

    I think it depends on how much of the music in the film made it onto the soundtrack.

    The TWINE score seems pretty intact. There was one track missing from the soundtrack which was the gorgeous 'Barryesque' track that plays as Bond and Elektra are skiing down the mountain.

    It's pretty easy to find online. I downloaded it and added it to the original soundtrack.

    The music from the bank and casino scenes is also missing, as is the cue heard when Bond arrives in Kazakhstan (it was made available in David Arnold's website along with the ski music you mention). Also missing is the music heard when M uses the clock to signal her position in the Maiden Tower. There might be more.

    This is a historical release for James Bond music. Beautiful expansions of the early Bond scores, up through Live and Let Die, were released back around 2003. Then funds for the project ran out and they expanded no further, leading fans to wonder whether any further expanded Bond scores would see the light of day, especially given how controlling Eon tend to be over their property.

    La-La Land Records has a strong relationship with David Arnold—having previously released expansions of Independence Day, Godzilla, Shaft, The Stepford Wives—which probably helped greatly in making this particular release a reality. For this reason and the fact Die Another Day was in such great need of an expansion with more than an hour of music left off the OST, Die Another Day was always going to be the most likely expansion to appear first. This certainly does open the tantalizing possibility that Tomorrow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough might follow, and who knows from there?

    For those who've ripped the bootlegged score from YouTube, I'd encourage you to pick up this release for a number reasons: 1) as @vzok already mentioned, the new audio quality will be outstanding—no comparison whatsoever; 2) the presentation is beautiful and will sit nicely on your shelf; 3) it's legal and bootlegs do hurt small companies like La-La Land that work hard to release amazing music like this for the fans; 4) it appears there may be previously unheard end titles music in the form of the track "James Bond Will Return," which I don't believe had been bootlegged—could be wrong; 5) supporting this release could fast-track expansions of other James Bond scores we've all been hoping for. So while the score does exist in inferior sound out there on YouTube, consider hearing the real deal for the first time and championing the releases of other James Bond scores in the bargain.

    I will be picking this up when it goes for sale at lalalandrecords.com next Tuesday.

    Not to mention the tracks when Elektra asks Bond to stay with her and when the two escape from beneath the snow. A few of the ones mentioned are posted in Murdock's Unreleased Cues thread.

    Oh yes, I actually prefer Welcome to Baku without the female voice.

    I'd waited for soundtrack news for so long that I'm a little desensitized about this. But something's finally happening.

    I'm sure Die Another Day is going to sell like hotcakes anyway, but if you're interested in expanded Bonds beyond this one, support this release!

    That's "Ice Palace Car Chase," and it appears as the final track on the first disc. David Arnold oversaw the production of this set himself, so rest assured whatever he put in the film has been put on the set.

    Absolutely! "Ice Palace Car Chase" is a killer action track. So is "Jinx, James and Genes." And I'm also rather partial to track 6 myself. ;)
