The innkeeper (George Woodbridge) gives Van Helsing sh*t.
The distance was only 5 miles, if that.
We watched it late one Saturday afternoon. Looking back I kind of wish we had waited until late in the night. The other Hammer's I saw were aired on television around 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Gave the viewing experience more of an ambiance.
This is one section of Stoker's novel that most film adaptations don't tamper with too much. A great scene here.
Though my favorite Hammer Dracula is a toss up between this, DRACULA PRINCE OF DARKNESS and DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE.
One of my all time favorite films.
