    It’s a film that dropped off for me for a while. But in recent years it’s back where it belongs. A classic!
    Easily a top five entry, moves along swiftly and has so many beautiful shots and locales, not to mention memorable scenes.
    Goldfinger really is a great Bond film, and I’m so glad I’ve found that appreciation of it again.
    I’m finding a lot of the older films working for me in a way they never used too. The 60’s films in particular but also the 70’s entries.
    Despite some faults here and there, the Bonds from ‘62 to ‘79 were bloody good entertainment. As Cubby often said put the money on the screen. Well they certainly did that.
    Going back to GF, it’s epic in scale compared to DN and FRWL, and that’s not taking anything away from the first two films, which I personally prefer.
    GF is a joy to watch and a genuine blockbuster. No wonder it’s the film that all other Bonds are measured against.

    I don't think it should be in there in the first place.
    It was a film made with hate,and made to destabilize the official series.

    Possibly the most underrated Bond. I have no idea how this used to be my least favorite.

    Some of the smaller moments in this film have been tough to watch in the last couple of years since learning of Pedro Armendariz's illness throughout production, particularly that he limps throughout most scenes and is constantly fighting through pain just to ensure one more paycheck for his family before he passed away. What a trooper - his performance makes for one of my favorite Bond allies (and Fleming's novel creation is also one of my favorite novel allies, too).

    Man, if I don't get bummed out every single time I see Aki's death scene, she's one of my absolute favorite Bond girls. It's such a shame she dies but it makes the inevitable revenge that much sweeter.
