No lockdown here in Perth...Western Australia, for those unaware where Perth is.
Conveniently, I'm on annual leave from the 28/09.
You're Australian too? Happy to see another Australian here!
Now let us be smug about our release date together ::D
I haven't been on here for ages but I've been following from afar. That spot has got me hyped again not that I needed to be 🤣. I love that they didn't even need to use new footage. Just a nice reminder to the general public that there is a Bond movie coming!
Well, I saw all four Craig Bond films at the cinema earlier this year. How's that for a start. If NTTD releases this year, that'll be a record five.
Not sure the Scottish folk here will agree! :D
The Australian release date has been September, since it was bumped up in the UK.
Not looking good for those of us in NSW, unfortunately :(

I think that buttoning style also makes it look like the jacket is too small for him. Maybe Madeline bought it for him as a birthday gift, and unlike Vesper didn't have the expert skill of sizing him up on sight?
Agreed on all accounts.
The script supervisor is responsible for the continuity on set/filming a scene. And the on set-dressers are doing their thing checking the actor, stuntman, extras between every camera setup/angle (camera blocking), usually comparing a photo from the previous scene.
Every on set-department has the same co-responsbility. Hair & Make-up, prop master(s)/set dressers etc.
Yep, made from fine corduroy. Two-button sand-tone Massimo Alba Sloop Suit

Exactly my point. If the second unit was on location first and the stuntman buttoned the coat, perhaps to hide safety padding or other pick points for a stunt harness, first unit would have had to follow their lead.
I think they could have CGId that in post, though.
Most of the scenes were filmed with the jacket unbuttoned. I always assumed the top button was buttoned to protect something he has holding in the inner pocket?
There's nothing actually wrong with buttoning the top two. I don't think it looks ridiculous at all- he doesn't want his jacket flapping around all over the place.
It's always a problem when a new Bond film is released @Since62
If I haven't seen the latest film yet, I usually avoid any threads concerning it like the plague, to avoid seeing any spoilers. I don't think anyone goes out of their way to ruin a film. They're just excited with the release of a new Bond movie, and get caught up in the excitement of it all. It's a tough one. Or you can opt to go offline till you see it, and keep everything guaranteed to be spoiler free...until you go on social media, watch the tv, listen to the radio, or bump into someone who's seen it before you.
People will never understand the difficulty it is to be a Bond fan sometimes. ;)
I agree that no one would button the lower two buttons on a three button suit because it would look as bad as buttoning the two top buttons. If wardrobe was worried about the single middle button coming loose during action sequences they would make the appropriate modifications to make sure it did not come undone.
As mentioned above as well, the choice of corduroy is also suspect in my opinion.
Also, CGI is not always the answer. Case in point, Cavill's Superman mustache removal.
your brining back memories now lol. Back in early, early march of 2020 I remember unsubscribing and unfollowing all James Bond related things as the release came closer and closer. Only to have to refollow in the next couple days.
Well no that's not right, it would be much worse. Buttoning the top two is fine, the bottom two is just wrong.
Sometimes, always, never.
Sorry for the bad news. Could this still affect theaters?
An isolated incident. Sad, but won’t affect theaters overall
Yes, could be that Aston Martin and Co. have a contract, where it says, that
But isn't this the case everytime?
Bond always gets released in the US at least one, sometimes two or more weeks later than in the rest of the world.
A marketing company has been hired to promote the release starring August 1st. Seems that they are planning for a September 30th release come hell or high water.
