  • That'd be an interesting dilemma but that really sounds too sci-fi and out there for Daniel Craig's Bond.

I wouldn't be against a dream appearance by Vesper, but the cloning thing is a bit too far for me.

I don't think Eva is in this film though. She got her instagram account recently to promote Dumbo and that's why I think she's been active liking Bond stuff...

So Eva Green is confirmed for Bond 25?? Maybe she was cloned..? Interesting.

Cary and Eva followed each other on instagram and Eva liked all of his Bond 25 posts. I find that super odd. She has never liked any of the past Bond posts after CR.

I would assume she is definitely in the film. Here is my crazy theory.

In SP, Bond found a tape that said "VESPER", he watches it.

SPECTRE, talks about a cloning project. Thats how we got a young madeline scene.
CR was what 13-14 years ago in the timeline? Maybe they found a way to clone Vesper's dead body, technically its not the Vesper that Bond knew.

Madeline is dead, what better way to toy with Bond then have Vesper back in a surprise cameo/twist?

Wouldn't hate it TBH. Bond has to kill Vesper.. I could see this happening based on the rumors. They have to connect Spectre with this film.

Eva Green’s Instagram appears to be mostly run by her fan site with the occasional post by Eva herself.

Where did this Eva rumor get started anyway?

    Why would they do that?

Let's set aside the pseudo-Sci-Fi element for a moment and assume that this cloning element is indeed part of the plot. Spectre has developed this technology. But it can't be cheap. So what do they do with it? Clone Madeleine and/or Vesper? For what purpose would that serve? That really makes no sense at all, tbh.

If there is a cloning element to this film, it would likely mirror The Boys from Brazil. The purposes were far more nefarious (and terrifying) than cloning an enemy agent's ex-girlfriend(s).

BTW: that entire film is available for free on You Tube.

So it would appear maybe Moneypenny lives on roupelle street. Maybe bond visits her on his return from Jamaica

    It looks like
it is indeed Q who lives there and based on the costumes it seems it's in the final act of the film.

That Daily Mail report specifically mentions whose house Moneypenny and Bond are visiting here, plus we know the numbers of the scenes they shot with Prince Charles there at Pinewood and Bond arriving at Whitehall, which would place them in the third act when comparing to the previous films.

It is the case if Bond25 is not much longer than previous films.

Thanks! And yes, you're quite right. And so is @Pavlo when he says the film probably won't be lengthy.

All the London scenes are going to be scene 130'ish to scene 160'ish. That's equivelant to the train scenes and Bond arriving at Blofeld's lair in SP, which are 95 minutes to 105 minutes into the movie. In B25 there's a showdown/climax after the London scenes, probably in Norway.

Fukunaga will make a 135/140 minutes film, I suppose.

Why do all speak about Vesper return? Were some reasons for that?

That's interesting. Quite a lot of film in front of Bond meeting his MI6 friends, then. They really seem to be playing with the Bond 'structure' here, which I suppose makes sense given that it starts in such an unorthodox place for the character.

There is another possibility, however. ;)

However remote. And unlikely. But given how talented our super sleuths have been on the internet at decoding the recent films' running orders based on these clapperboards, maybe EON/Cary are using a different system this time. I know it sounds like a stretch, but maybe there's a simple formula they use to convert later in the editing/production bay and these clapper numbers don't actually correspond to real scene numbers.

I've actually been thinking this, misdirection by EON, they had their last film well and truly spoiled by the hacking situation with various versions of the script online.

Maybe just maybe they are playing with us to ensure that even if a scene is seen filming in the press and on the net that the actual scene numbers are inconsequential to actual cronology of the finished film.

Like @AgentM72 possibly a stretch but they do seem to be going to lengths to make sure this one isn't spolied like its predecessor.

I think it has too be at least 20 minutes lomger than that, based on the nunber of locations and cast members. Don't forget they also have to catch us up to date at the start of this movie, as to where we are after the end of the SPECTRE, which most Bond films don't have to do. Theres a lot of story to tell here, they cannot simply rush through things.

Had a thought. Is it looking likely that Felix will die? We know that Bond is working with him at first and it's him who goes to Jamaica and gets him out of retirement. But then he's not there in London and why would Bond need to go to MI6 for help if he still had the CIA's backing? I'm thinking that he could die to raise the stakes and it might be this that spurs Bond to go back to the UK for help/backup.

Alternatively it could just be that he gets what he/the CIA need early on and bows out then while Bond stays on Malek's tail for personal reasons (probably because of him finding out he was also behind Madeline's death at the start). Just popped into my head because his role in the film doesn't seem to be being talked about much.

I really hope they don't touch this Vesper flashback and cloning in general in Bond 25, or I fear my excitement for this film with take a nosedive.

I hope this Vesper thing is just people reaching, because if it is in the movie, it will be daft to say the least. You can't bring back the leading lady from the last film (and possibly marry her) and then call back to Vesper from Casino in a flashback. It will undermine Madeline completely as a real love interest. I never truly believed she was anything special for Bond in Spectre, so they need to address that somehow in Bond 25 and bringing back Vesper will be the wrong way to go about it.

I don't mind them trying to tie up loose ends left from Spectre, but can we please stop calling back to past films every five minutes. Without some originality, the film will feel stale and Daniel deserves more than that if this is to be his final bow as 007.

I know it's only rumours, so I'm not going to worry about all that too much. I have faith in Eon, Cary and the amazing cast and crew to produce a top tier Bond film.
On a positive note, it's great to see Naomi as Moneypenny, she looks amazing, such a beautiful woman and great personality. A brilliant bit of casting as Moneypenny

An important character dies in every of Craigs films. So most likely, yes.

The couple things we can look forward to in this film is Ben Whishaw as Q and Rami Malek as a Bond villain. The rest of the cast seem like they are going through the motions, or just looking for a nice payday/profile boost. I haven't seen anything from Cary Fukunaga yet which hasn't left me with the impression that he is a man out of his depth in this enviroment. He doesn't really seem in command on set like Mendes and Campbell.

    ?!?

Negative much? You don't seem to be having as much fun as the rest of us. And most of your negative ramblings aren't based on anything solid, just speculation and paranoia. And for that we've got the Production thread, which is full of that, as you very well know.

Nobody will ever top Lois Maxwell for me. It's impossible.

I do like Naomie Harris though – I just don't like her field involvement in SF, then having her, M and Q on their Scooby gang "mission" in SP.
