I love the way he says "Jesus christ" after she says "high achiever ".
Feels like a more quick fire version of Bond meeting Q in SF.
I really love the shot of Nomi turning taking off the wig and turning to face him.
"That's not the first thing I thought you'd take off" perfection ha!

Can anyone fix a download link?
That's my impression, too. I'm almost afraid to watch Quantum or Spectre now. I love those films too (in their own ways) but Spectre in particular just seems so....flat, compared to the energy crackling in that singular Bond/Nomi exchange.
I was just thinking I'll watch CR and SF before NTTD. This one seems on that vein, lot's of colour in the performances and dialogue, energetic, like you guys said. I've now watched that bloody clip more times than I should have, and it's still great, just perfect actually.
I instantly thought of Rosie when I saw that. Bond's retort here is quite good. Gives me vibes that he really doesn't care what he says or how it's taken after having been retired for so long.
I think we might get the best written Bond film in... well.. you can decide.
There's a quality there that as much as I love this era (apart from SPECTRE) that is dare I say has been lacking.
The talent involved here, well.. I'll let you know after next Thursday... though I don't want to get my hopes up but this film looks like something very special and the most exciting thing unlike the last film, we still have so much more to be revealed.
Yeah, I have that problem too. Lashana usually has a strong voice so I dont unsertand this weird voice she's trying on for a character who's apparently very headstrong and confident. But all in all, the scene has really bolstered my conficdence in the Nomi character being characterised well and not just being a statement character.
What I like about the scene was definitely the Rosie Carter callback, the little quips from Bond (Not the first thing I thought you'd take off), though adding 'I guess' to the end of it is a little un-Bondlike, but the scene is really good in showing the characters of Bond and Nomi - Bond this older, confident and still as of yet unshakeable force, and Nomi, who in very intent to get a rise out of Bond, a little naive and immature being so young. Overall, fantastic scene, and the humor is definitely very similar to the SF Bond and Q interaction but much faster pace.
Which confuses me since Felix is sending him to track down Waldo in Cuba. It'll be interesting to see how the attack on the lab breaks out and how that sets both Felix and Nomi in motion to find Bond in Jamaica at the same time.
Thoughts?
Interesting take on it! I'd imagine that, being young and a very proud person, Nomi is a quite a bit more than peeved about having been sent to Cuba to act as a messenger for her retired predecessor, hence when Bond is seemingly dismissive of her she sasses him, not to mention she's probably heard horror stories in MI6 about him and his interactions with women so she's already very on alert about his tendencies. I'd imagine Nomi leading Bond back to his cabin was her baiting him away by charming him or showing interest, then turning it on him. Her last line reminds me of Natalya's line about Bond's life - that's what keeps you alive/alone - almost wholesale lifted from GE, I'd say. A neat little reference I don't think anyone has picked up yet.
Everything in that brief clip is brilliant...I mean, the coloring of the water's reflection on the walls! Are you kidding me!!!!
Couldn’t agree more! I was surprised no one chimed in on those colors and that shimmery water effect… wow!! Snappy is a good way to describe the dialogue too. NTTD hype level just went up… From my point of view, things are shaping up nicely!
