Well, like Inception and a quite a few Nolan films the critical thing is he's not checking the top -- to invoke Steely Dan, he already bought the dream.
And I suspect something likewise for this - perhaps there's no way the man can survive but the myth is eternal.
I've always interpreted Inception's ending in a similar way, but with a different angle — the whole film is about the fragility of reality, how much of it is perception. Does it matter whether he is in the "dream" or "real"? He overcame the blockade and went back to his kids. That's what matters.
The water reflection is in Safin's lair, too. Hmmm...
And there is a frozen lake...and Madeleine swimming...and Bond in his boat...and then almost drowning in another boat...and "pools"...and a car chase on bridges over water...
You see where I am going with this, folks. :)
Staring at these...
Because of Linus Sandgren's amazing use of lighting and silhouette. N-n-nothing more.
Is this the interview that was posted here earlier?
It's one of the newer ones. I'm yet to see that one uploaded in good quality on YouTube as of yet.

DM me both of you
Great to hear PWB worked on Q's scenes - I am sure we would have known anyway ;)
There's a clip FFS in that article. Brand new footage!!! Matera car chase starts.
There is also a new clip in there of the car chase!
Very interesting to hear the horror elements and French noir. I think Cary really gets Bond from a character perspective and it's nice to see him throw a nod to Dalton portrayal too.
Agreed. The couple of seconds alone provided me more suspense than a certain Rome car chase 😉

I'd like to see the video too, if you don't mind.
