That's not going to happen with Craig's ligaments still not totally back to normal.
It can be foot chase with Paloma or Nomi. Or CIA agents Felix and character played by Billy Magnussen.
Yes,true,it could be.
Hi @TR007! -- no, pure guessing on my part. Hearing how CJF's first Bond film was AVTAK, I wonder if he's taken a cue from it: Bond is missing, and they're all "presuming the worst"...
I could see a similar scene done for B25. After a climactic blowout between Bond and Malek's character (and, yes please to the strangulation a la YOLT!), Bond's body hasn't been recovered. He's presumed dead.
Until the final scene where he meets Nomi, stepping out of the shadows to pass the torch to her in some capacity. However, before slipping into the shadows, he tells her, "I'll be back soon enough", and then he's gone.
Cue the Bond theme with the words, James Bond Will Return...
Felix and Billy chasing someone for Five minutes, exhausting themselves, gaining on the guy but not getting him. Then the guy wants to round a Corner of a Building, where Bond is waiting for him and knocks him off his feet with one Punch. Cue JB theme, title sequence.
That would make me chuckle.
Scotland will ruin this whole movie for you?
Or what Shatterhand "speculates"?
:-??
Feel like Craig would have to return for Bond 26 in that scenario.
I think Craig, no matter the ending, is making this his final one. Obviously anything can happen, but returning for 26 is, I think, such a slim possibility that it’s almost non existent (unless they’re being sneaky and shot 25 n 26 together, lol)
Imagine that. :D
Bond 25: Infidelity War
Bond 26: Repent Game
Consider my money going straight into EoN’s pockets, lol!
If Craig himself and producers have decided that this will be his last,
one can assume that for the first time in James bond history this film will surely feel like a finale.
Although they say that they haven’t given any thought as to the next Bond, I don’t think that is necessarily true. If there is an actor on their radar who is now at the right age , or nearing the upper limit of what they’re looking for , getting that actor in place may be a consideration.
He'll play grandfather Bond who's telling his stories to James Bond III.
I know right there is always someone on their radar.
Although EON & Universal should start calling this film "finale" if they want to start market this film properly imo.
Sounds almost like a porno.
So I do believe Eon isn't looking at anyone to take over the mantle just yet.
Perhaps that's what the franchise needs to re-invigorate itself. ;-)
I think the slowing down has a lot to do with
1) the current filmmaking climate, which is demanding, shuffling bigger budgets than ever thought conceivable and facing fierce Disney competition everywhere and everywhen;
2) the Craig dichotomy: they feel like they absolutely need him and so they'll wait for him but he won't just make another Bond film until he's satisfied with what's going to be presented;
3) the SF fluke: SF lifted a healthy series to something not seen in a very long time, which was simultaneously a blessing and a curse because, well, evidently now anything falling below this newly raised bar would be considered "poor performance".
If, with an ounce of luck, the next actor doesn't weigh too heavily on the decision making and keeps himself available, and if the franchise contends itself with a stable performance record, never reaching for box office peaks but securing a lasting loyalty from fans and critics, we might return to a higher density of films during a single actor's tenure.
Diesel bowsers heading to the set in Scotland.
Ah I see. That's a really interesting theory. I wouldn't mind seeing that play out on the big screen, it would be a great way to end a Bond adventure.
Will Mario and Princess Peach also be there?
Where is he now?
