Indeed, you are dreaming.
Given that Yesterday was dreadful, EON and Bond fans everywhere dodged a bullet with Boyle.
I think we'd likely get a Pinewood one next, possibly highlighting the Royal visit. But it's really all dependent on how soon the trailer is going to drop. If it comes any later than mid-September, then I'd expect a video blog drop any day. If it's coming sooner, I doubt we get another blog before it.
That means the main theatrical trailer should be out sometime in December. Which also means the teaser trailer should be released 3-4 months before the theatrical (August/September). I don’t buy for a minute the teaser trailer won’t drop until October.
I could be totally wrong, but I’d expect something before the month is over or next month, hands down.
I'd be surprised as well, but you never know. If they release it in time to attach to Joker (Oct 4), meaning online slightly before, it's also an opportunity for them to not only reveal the title simultaneously but also promote Global James Bond day with maximum impact (Oct 5) for merchandising purposes.
Yes I know about SP, and made sense since it’s a 10 second shot. It’s a motorcycle chase on the roof btw. The interior paint of the walls of the room are quite particular, Cary and even Sandgren were spotted on the set. No, they’re not spending one month building a set in that incredibly complicated location just for the sake of destroying it in a 2 seconds explosion or just a 10 second scene. Maybe that hotel room is where Bond and Madeleine are spending they’re honeymoon. But yes, 99.9% they’re goin to destroy it in the end of u ask me.
From that point the cityscape is quite romantic. That’s for sure.
But, tbh, they could build that at Pinewood and CGI the view--for a lot less $. So there have to be substantial reasons for them taking the time and spending the money, and risking damage to surrounding buildings, to build this set. I can't wait to find out. ;-)
Yes. That’s exactly what I was saying in my previous post.
A view to a kill ;)
On the other hand: The thing that struck me is the wallpaper with the ugly (palm?) trees. It looks like a cuban or Miami hotel in the 70's or 80's
New pics:
And this?
"rcservice_srl Il nuovo #bond25 ha scelto Matera come location per le prossime riprese del nuovo #007 noi ovviamente non potevamo mancare con il nostro servizio di #noleggiotransenne #rcs019"
They actually look like orange trees to me. Some of them have fruits hanging on the branches. There are also other motifs, like birds and other kinds of trees. There are few things that accentuate the feel of the Mediterranean garden more that a citrus tree laden with juicy fruit. So, I'd say Matera is Matera. Ugly wall paper or not ;) I bet I'll all look wonderful. The light blue walls against that wonderful blue sky. The iron railings on the veranda. These guys know what they're doing.
Hmm, perhaps your'e right. You painted quite the picture there ;)

Those iron grills atop the white long doors with the sunbeam motifs are particularly well done, giving us the subliminar context of sunshine framed by the light blue walls and over the blueish tinge view. The white worn wood perfectly dresses the white calcareous rocks that are intrinsic to the city's aesthetic, and at the same time, it contrasts with the canvas of turquoise waters and green trees.
Maybe there's a sequence planned that starts from the hotel room and moves outside? As Fukunaga loves continuous shots, could Bond and/or Madeleine fight off an assailant inside the room, and the fight continues to the rooftops outside, done in a single motion?
Here's a little more on that boat. The flag still needs 'splaining.
Other yachts from the same source: Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only, Moonraker, Octopussy, The World Is Not Enough, Skyfall.
That's what they did with the cabin in SP which James Bond smashes through with his plane.
Yep. Could be fantastic.
It certainly looks that way!
That's true. It could be that they want a particular shot (inside and outside perhaps), which leaves them no other alternative. Just speculating, of course.
In fact, we don't know ANYTHING about what will be the PTS, what will be the direct follow up and so on.
I do think that Matera will not be in it. Unless you want to ramp up a car chase, motorcycle chase and cemetery visit in 10 minutes.
Surely that was done in SF,and to a lesser extent TND,even.
Panchito has rather livid dreams. ;)
Aaah yes...forgot about that.
We don't know ANYTHING about the length of the PTS. The only thing we know for certain is that scene 15 takes place at the cabin. We also know that a scene can be anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. There has been so many reports about Matera being the PTS, but I guess a clapperboard picture the coming month will reveal a whole lot.
No we don't know anything about that either.
If those reports are to be trused, I'll happily admit it. But still I would not believe that they would go through all this set construction and possible action scenes just for the PTS.
For SF they spent three months to produce a car chase that turned into a shootout that turned into a motorcycle chase that turned into a fight on top of a moving train...
...just for the PTS.
For SP they spent more than a month - just for the PTS - contructing this:
Great interview with PWB where she spoke a little bit about B25.
"There's something about James Bond that always intrigued me in a similar way that Villanelle did," says Waller-Bridge, referencing Comer's Killing Eve assassin. "They live a fantasy! But it's a life none of us would ever want, if we're honest. We don't want to go put a bullet in someone's head to sleep with people and have martinis. It's a kind of fantasy nightmare." Asked about reports that Bond 25 actress Lashana Lynch will be picking up the 007 mantle, she says, "The whole thing has potential to birth new iconic characters all the time."
She's cognizant and somewhat suspicious of the mild frenzy around her contribution: "A lot has been made of me coming on board because I'm a woman, and that's wonderful. But also I can't take credit for the movie that was written. It's Cary's movie."
PWB clearly intends that we'll see Cary's film. Of course, movie has number of screenwrites but accoding to PWB words Cary is probably main author of this film.
