You are right. Cary and his team have thought long and hard about the clothing and how it will suit the overall visual style - design, sets, locations and cinematography.
@slyfox Have you heard something about that? I don't know the distance, but could it be a possibility for you to go there? Just saying an idea, for your well deserved beach-day ;)
Not the sartorial type, are you?
Sapri - Maratea, some 176 km distance
Marina di Pisticci - Maratea, 60 km
This is the worst Craig's Bond film clothes-wise. The suits in London scenes are fine, the rest is average, if that.
If Matera is indeed a continuation of SP, and something happens there that causes Bond and Swann to part ways, it'll be interesting to see if they end up together at the end.
A Bond movie PTS without action, I just don't believe that. Even OHMSS had a fight on a beach. I am enjoying people tie themselves in knots over what the Matera clapperboard numbers mean for the structure and story of the film. And no one has explained away the Sapri scene 253 board, the X2 2nd unit or film roll theory are both bunk. And in a few days the Matera filming will end and the photos for the remaining four weeks or so of filming could be very sparse. I don't think the teaser trailer will explain anything either if it just a series of brief shots as MI6-hq.com says it is.
I love the fact that we don't know! Speculating about the new Bond film is, for me, always almost as much fun as going to see the new Bond film!

That blue jacket reminds me of the shirt/jacket thingy Dalton wears in LTK.
The clothes so far in NTTD don't really bother me too much. To me they're no better or worse than Connery's wardrobe in NSNA.
The blue jacket may look a bit dated in a few years....or a few months.
Honestly I think Craig's clothes in QoS were the best and most timeless. He had a classic, classic look in that film.
There is also beginning of this scene in IG story of this user.
He wore one in the title reveal
I have both clips now. Short clips. I'm gonna edit them together.
That means nothing... maybe he will in the Cuba scenes.
Good!
Cheers! Yes,
I have heard the scenes are of the Aston Martin driving along a picturesque route. This takes place directly before the Matera scenes and will show the Aston Martin driving along the coast before entering a tunnel and exiting in Matera. A lot of people seeing the film will think Matera is by the coast! I imagine it to be the opening shots after the Title Sequence but haven't heard confirmation either way. I don't know about the train station scene that is meant to be filmed there though. Either way, it's 2nd unit stuff at present and when Daniel and co arrive there next week the pics will start to surface.
PS - I went to 'Polignano a Mare' I'm afraid instead today. A beautiful little town with a cute beach surrounded by impressive rocks with the backdrop of an old Roman style bridge. Worthy of a Bond film!
Polignano a Mare has even a Bondian name! I think all Italy is worthy of a Bond film!
I’ve always wanted to see the little scene they filmed for Casino Royale with the Aston DBS driving through the picturesque countryside on the way to meet Mathis.
