Not a spoiler lol.
Yeah I would not be surprised if Felix comes to Bond. Saying he needs help.
Why would Bond help him? We found Swann and you have a 5 year old daughter?
Remember the movie comes out in 2020. ‘SP’ came out in 2015.
5 years go by so yes he could have a little 5 year old. Worst Bond plot ever especially if he’s banging other Bond girls in this.
Then we'd have:
- A woman taking the 007 mantle at Mi6
- Daddy Bond
- A castle assault with an hypercar
- And worse that all of the above: a buttoned collar shirt with a tie!!!!
AHHHHH, we're doomed.
Of course I'm kidding, I trust this creative team to do better. Well, except for the shirt and tie :(
;)
She's just burning a piece of paper as part of a tradition we saw many people do in Matera. What's in the paper? Dunno. But it's probably something one writes.
Yes...now whether it premieres there (vs. online) is a whole other question...
You forgot clones!
Malek is doing the talk-show rounds as Mr Robot's final series debuts on 6 October. I'm sure they'll ask him about NTTD but he isn't going on TV to hype a trailer.
Damn, yeah, clones! And Brofeld back as well. DAD sounds good on paper right now.
Does that happen?
Let us know if you get the chance to speak with her. James Bond Radio interviewed her a couple years ago about Spectre so it seems like she is open to talking with fans.
Jeffrey Wright filmed in Jamaica AND London.
"I’ve filmed in Jamaica and a bit in London and I’ve got to say, I was having a ball."
I re-watched DN - SP.
I gotta said DC’s Bond has ZERO DIALOGUE.
It’s really bothering me. His character mainly utters one to two word replies when Connery, Lazenby and Moore talked in paragraphs.
Him and Brosnan seem in pain just to get two words out, what gives??
Also why are Swann and Bond even a thing? Let me break this down.
CASINO ROYALE
Vesper and Bond are onscreen for around 70% of the film.
Train sequence is probably the most Bond’s character has ever interacted with another character in one scene.
They are constantly together for a majority of the film.
Bond is a rookie who is new to the game and it’s pretty believable that he would fall in love with Vesper and quit to be with her.
He gets betrayed and learns his lesson.
Overall they have enough scenes and dialogue to make it believable that they are truly in love.
SPECTRE
Bond has his “interview” with Swann.
She gets kidnapped they have some quick little one word - two word exchanges and they are off to Africa.
Again more quick little banter, but not much.
She goes with him to Blofeld’s base.
Bond almost dies and she says she loves him?
They escape and she immediately tells him sorry it’s been real but this is too dangerous for me goodbye.
She gets kidnapped yet again, Bond saves her and now she’s back with Bond?
I mean maybe I’m crazy but not only do they have almost no dialogue compared to Vesper and Bond but why would he quit the service for her?
Yeah they slept together but Bond has slept with/hooked up with a lot of women from CR - SP.
1) Solange
2) Vesper
3) Fields
4) Random Greek girl
5) Sex slave
6) Most likely slept with Estrella.
7) Messed around with Lucia
8) Swann (slept with).
Sorry but this is driving me crazy. There’s just not enough in “SP” for me to believe Swann and Bond are in love and ran away together.
You're highlighting perfectly my issues with Bond and Madeleine's "romance" here, which isn't believable at all. You're also bringing up a very interesting point re. dialogue. Some of the best moments throughout the film series have been dialogue driven. We're not getting much of that anymore…
He almost feels like Jason Bourne.
Both are government assassins. Both hardly talk at all.
Bond is supposed to be lively and super chatty. Even Dalton talked more than Brosnan and Craig.
It really does look painful for Craig to even talk in a film like he has a hard time speaking. Brosnan had the same issue.
Indeed, he's become more and more like Bourne – in several ways.
But Bond is supposed to be different in that he is chatty, witty in his remarks and all those things we associate with the character. It's understandable that they've taken a different approach lately, but I would still very much like it if Bond talked more.
Obviously a lot happens “off camera”, stuff that isn’t worth putting in a film so I’m sure she’s not just some random girl. They need to do a better job this time and around making it seem like they are happy and a couple. Swann was too emotionless in SP and she also seemed completely cold.
It was very weird.
And while yes that's down to having a lot of time to think about her as a character in the franchise, and not anything Spectre did to be honest...
...but my appreciation for what I did like about Swann, and the things I think did work between her and Bond, with the added bonus of naturally accepting her as a character through all the time of I've spent analysing Bond 25 since Spectre's credits rolled, I think when I see No Time to Die, I'll already be comfortable with seeing the two together on screen, unless they really cock it up :D
But I don't think that's going to happen with the people we've got on board for this film.

Especially if it means finally we might take a break from Purvis and Wade.
So not only is the mood on a high with Bond 25 but also they're thinking ahead.
Yeah, this is the problem with these modern Bond films - hardly any dialogue and almost all just action. Sadly, they just don't make them like they used to. I look forward to a new Bond film but the excitement I used to harbour has diminished greatly over the years. Anyway, this is why, unless there is some solid character movement between these two, a wedding (if this happens) would look ridiculous. These days, the Bond film people's idea of character work is a mere few lines here and there followed by another action scene.
Yeah, me too. This would be considered too much talking for Bond these days.
Have to agree wholeheartedly on the dialodue point. Especially each time I re-watch Layer Cake, I can't help but think how well Craig can talk, and what a waste it is that he gets to say so little as Bond. Again, NTTD could have him talk more, since it was only the last two films that made Bond's reticence seem tiring. In CR he wasn't that silent, and in QoS it made much sense, but only as a one-off.
Interestingly, both actors talk a lot more in some films outside of Bond.
I'm not sure I would call Bond a chatty guy, but in the novels he does talk freely, and while I don't insist on taking every detail to the screen, talking Bond has been much more interesting as a character than silent Bond who many times just feels grumpy instead of cool.
Sure, let's hit another nail into the coffin of Bond's integrity. The more sense Madeleine in SP makes, the more it makes ond look like a dumb fool, and MI6 no less, for putting such an emotional idiot into such an important professiinal position.
