The only issue I’m having with the whole Russian thing is Malek’s previous quotes about how he doesn’t want to be cast as anyone who has ties to any terrorism that is based on any religion or ideology, so wouldn’t having the Russians be the villains of this film kind of adhere to what he wanted to avoid?

Is it confirmed that any of the locations will actually double as Russia or?

Not being connected to any ideology or religion does not mean he can't be from the east.

Nothing is confirmed but all those Russian plates plus the villain with a Russian surname sound like strong clues.

Regarding SPECTRE it will 100% feature in the film. How much, I don't know. Baz implied that Blofeld knows Safin so a business/emotional connection is likely. In QoS they established Quantum/SPECTRE business in Siberia, Safin seems to lead a big bio-engineering corporation. A connection between Safin and SPECTRE sounds highly probable, without forgetting that basically SPECTRE had connection with all the villains within the Craig canon.

Did Baz come out with a new article?

    Any update the composer situation?
  • Unless we get some new information from EON on the subject, Dan Romer is still scoring NTTD.

That’s a great photo of Craig too. Stylishly craggy. That’s kind of how I like my Bonds looking!

Some of the filming shots looks great.

I hope they have the courage of their convictions re Lashana being the new 007 if true. It makes perfect sense to have someone assume the number after James Bond retires. He’s not Diego Maradona.

I agree, and i don't believe for a second that EoN would ever be reactive to tabloids.
This isn't Disney or Marvel who construct their films based on customer surveys.

Instead they hire the top people in the business to create an amazing film for them. Also they aren't strangers to media outrage, remember when Craig got cast?

I think EoN have a "you'll get it when you see it" mentality about this.
At least that's what i hope.

My guess is somewhere around 21-22 nov, going by five days apart

Funny that there is still people who wait for the trailer. The last monthd of deception wasn't enought ? It's been a long time I've stopped to wait for it and my life is better. He will probably realeased a pure random day/night without any announcement, come from nowhere (like the jamaican vlog), like in the pure tradition of bad marketing that EON continue since years agos now.

Can we pass to something else now ? Or are we gonna heard each week "it's probably for this week" while it's never the case ?

Well, actually, we still don't know. The 'new style clips theory' both @Contraband and I discussed does hold up, in that the clip from SP was followed by one from SF and so on, all the way to CR. My theory was weekly, but @Contraband has been bang on the money with a new clip releasing every 5 days.

Now, I suggested that because of the style of these clips, we might get something for NTTD to round it all off. But that's speculation/wishful thinking. At the moment, there's noting specific that supports this theory, apart from some guesses and assumptions. (See below) We'll have to wait and see. Nothing is sure, but everything is possible. ;)

I'm unsure if peeps will remember - but what film had the Yardbrough contact posting new and exclusive content? Can't for the life of me remember. I do think I've been part of the problem with the trailer - as I'd shared positive confirmation via a contact it was finished some time ago. The film's overall marketing push, seems very tepid, especially given it's overall production budget. I've also not seen any OOH spend with the new poster. But as others have said E.ON do it their own way...I like the rotoscoped look of the mini trailers from the rest of the Daniel Craig films mind. It gives credence to what I was told about a 1960s Thomas Crown Affair titling concept - which I've mentioned before.

Oh, I remember Yardbrough very well, he was on the case since DUD, I think. And then he reappeared for SF, I believe, with the M's desk cryptic photograph and so on. I do wish he'd come back and be a link between it all and us. Even though I am appreciative of all the recent secrecy.

I'll bet they put out the int. versions of the CR build-up tomorrow, and late next week we will have NTTD, dropping just like that.

I saw the videos too. If this would be a countdown towards the NTTD trailer - what happened to the QOS video then? did they forget about it?

as mentioned before, 2 weeks ago Universals PR plan was to release the trailer beginning of December. Of course they can easily change their plans anytime, but currently I don't see why they would do so.

My guess would have been maybe a preview release (first clips etc.) before thanksgiving weekend end of Nov., international release of the full trailer first week of December. But that's just pure speculation of mine.

From TWINE onwards I think...? Might be wrong. I'm sure TWINE had online updates though.

I made a tweet about her two weeks ago when she was in the race, posting the same pics (and even pointed out if she's perhaps was co-working on some mask on Malek).

    Cool that she was selected.
