Indeed :))
Only 50 more days till NTTD now
I’m so excited. It’s like a holiday when a Bond film is released.
YES................ the single worst idea in the entire series. I truly hope NTTD helps to lessen this idiotic concept.
Agreed. I am not sure what the issue is with the direction Babs has taken. SF and SP made a boatload, and casual fans (at least ones I know) LOVED SP and didn;'t care about Brothergate. Regardless, she made the key decision: hiring Daniel Craig and not relenting until he signed on the dotted line. She saw something that others did not...and there was blowback. But she knew. And it worked.
It's better than Waltz saying point blank he wasn't Blofeld.
I’m pretty much going in under the assumption that he is Dr. No at this point. If he isn’t, great. If he is, I hope they make it work.

Wrong, I'm afraid, on several counts. That's like claiming a person who is not in politics cannot criticize an elected official's policies.
I, as we all do, pay to see, buy and enjoy the output of Mrs. Broccoli and Mr. Wilson, and have done so out of my own pocket since 1989. Anyone such as Babs who puts themselves in the public domain and makes a living off of it is utterly fair game for any kind of criticism.
...seem to remember the majority of your comments (back in '14-'15 when I had the time to frequent the board) as being sound & objective, surprised that you of all posters are having a huff about my dig at Babs :-t
Edit: this in response to the "if you don't make 'em don't criticize 'em" rhetoric, by the way. Just to be clear
Goldeneye, Casino Royale, and Skyfall have been their only acclaimed films.
I would put TWINE and Spectre in the serviceable or acceptable category.
TND, DAD, and QOS are kind of bottom barrel in quality.
EON arguably hasn’t had a great track record since the 1960s, which was their strongest and most consistent of all the decades. Since the 1970s become a crapshoot. You get LALD, but you then get TMWTGG. You get TLD, but then you get LTK.
Brosnan’s run probably had the worst, with the one two three sucker punch that was TND/TWINE/DAD after the very good GE. Craig so far has had a 50/50 track record, which has been on a every other film pattern. If that holds up, that means NTTD may be the good one to go out on.
Maybe that's why they're releasing it tonight? It does seem a bit early for the film. Maybe I'm wrong.
With friends like these...sheesh.
We could debate the finer points of each film but Bond, even at his worst, is better than many.
EON’s record is no worse than any other production company/studio. The risk is the reward. I like their cinematic voice, and I support them because they’ve earned it.
I need this movie now.
I know what you mean, it has that slick and almost too good to be real look to it. But I’m gonna have to say Sandgren is just that great of a cinematographer.
As for the song it reminds me a lot of TWOTW but much better executed. Haunting production, excellent vocals, thematically relevant, and unmistakably Bond.
