I believe i said it before as well. It would be wise to release in theatre and on streaming service a month later, for people who wants either of those options. They need to play it safe and generate a lot of attention for people to visit cinema in November.

If a $30-40 charge per stream is the only way they could foresee a returning similar to what they were expecting from a theatrical release, I'm not sure they'd go for it. That's a hefty sum.

People routinely pay $30-40 VOD for a boxing match. A new Bond release has remained an event--that's the upside to getting a new film every five years--so I can see them releasing it for $40 or $50...

...especially since a vaccine is 18 months out. Who is going to sit comfortably in a theater in November with no vaccine available?

Who says it won't be available?

    One example:

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/global-health/science-and-disease/coronavirus-vaccine-update-when-covid-19-cure-how-long-uk/

Get ready for 12-18 months of waiting.

Right, because the Telegraph says so.

Check other sources, then. They're all saying the same: 12-18 months for a vaccine.

Everyone, stay safe and stay home!

It’s a long wait til November, thus a long wait til we know what the situation is with the virus and whether EON will postpone. We just have to be patient and not worry too much about what may happen in November. There’s plenty of time to focus on other things.

It may be a year or more for a vaccine but this isolation won’t last that long. Self isolation and quarantine is happening right now to reduce the strain on worldwide health systems. Most people will get COVID-19, with varying degrees of severity. The hope is that we can spread infection over several months rather than see numbers spike at one time and overwhelm resources. At this time, November 12th/25th is as good a date as any so long as it’s not Spring or Summer of 2020.

NTTD as a Drive-in release? If you could find one.

In Germany there are still two Drive In Cinemas open, showing two movies every day.
But that cannot be the future of movie theatres.

Definitely not, and they will have to shut down. Every cinema aroumnd here are closed, also pubs and restaurants. Supermarkets, food stores, pharmacies and drug stores are still open, everything is closed. I had to go to the pharmacy, and the whole town is almost empty, like a ghost town. But if that helps to contain the virus and its spread and to flatten the curve, it's fine for me. And I would be ready to wait even post November for NTTD.

    Article with Billy M.

What’s not crazy is how he got to this point. The Bond brand is legendary, and No Time to Die will forever place Magnussen among a special class of actors who’ve been part of the series. “It’s a pinch-myself moment, and to be part of this is an honor,” Magnussen says of his role as CIA agent Logan Ash. Naturally, he’s a fan of the series and understands its decadeslong appeal. “Everyone has that hero’s journey in them,” he says.

He’s particularly excited about this iteration of Bond, marking No. 25, because its director, Cary Joji Fukunaga, is the first American to direct a movie in the series. Magnussen previously worked with Fukunaga on Maniac, a limited series on Netflix also starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill. “In this industry, there are lots of people who are just colleagues, but I’m happy to call Cary a friend. I love him,” says Magnussen. “He’s one of the hardest-working guys in this business, always pushing to do something better. He operates on a different level and brings so much excitement and a different perspective to Bond. And the fact that he got Hans Zimmer and Billie Eilish to do the music—are you kidding me?”

I wonder if they’ve tried to get him before. Looks perfect for a role in Bond.

Just thinking. The title NO TIME TO DIE could sound very suitable after this Virus thing is over...the film might suddenly have optimism written all over it. Regardless of what the plot is about. The title could be seen as a symbol of hope & get Cinephiles, as well as Bond fans flocking to cinemas.

Let's see how long they are allowed to stay open.
I mean you have no contact to other people if you stay in your car.

Everyone was saying the film should have a Roger Moore tribute caption, but you know, I think I'd actually love it more if we got just one shot of Craig doing this famous manoeuvre :

Stuttgart-Kornwestheim? Seriously? That's not far away from here. But I think, as the German government today announced a so-called "Kontaktverbot", they will have to close. People are only allowed to keep a distance of 1,5 - 2 meters. Thhat would not work in a car. Unless you are alone.

There sure is a lot of pent-up media about NTTD and Craig coming out . . . I hope they can regain that momentum in November!

They announced, that they stay open, but only allow 2 people in one car (plus their own children).
On the other hand: your car is like your own home. It's not a public place. And you are allowed to stay in your home with your family, eben if there are more than two people involved.
