I hear ya. But history will put an asterisk on 2020 BO numbers. This is just a whole different beast. The part that upsets me is that there will be no huge premiere at Royal Albert Hall. DC deserved to out with that sort of fanfare. Instead, he's slipping out the back door.
Barbara Broccoli describes NTTD as a pretty epic film and an enthralling emotional ride. Wilson calls it a tragic love story akin to OHMSS or CR. The episode ends with the two talking about how much Cubby would’ve loved this film and Daniel Craig’s commitment to the role.
Same. Great show.
And I just posted about this in the music thread, but I'm 99.9% sure we're indeed hearing Zimmer's score around 7 minutes, 29 minutes, and that epic Bond theme outro!
Those spots are definitely new material. And it seems weird they'd produce little new pieces just for this podcast when they've obviously had no issue using existing score clips throughout the rest.
(Sufficed to say, I hope they're from Hans' score because I bloody loved each bit of them!)

That looks like lots of fun.
I would say it's only a BTS of their ad, which is set in Shangahi- nothing directly associated with the movie.
It's free on the spotify link.
Meant without signing up to anything. Just heard it on the Apple link.
Yeah, you're probably right. Still, I wanted it to be set at the Cuba town or some Matera mayhem

I think it looks a rather clever idea as those DB5 stunt cars are around and happy to slide around at the drop of a hat: if you can't get Mr Craig or Ms Lynch for your ad then the car isn't a bad third option for a bit of Bond glamour and action!
Thanks @phantomvices. I appreciate.
Yeah, I know, I'm not blaming EON or anything, just imagining a "what if". Imagine if Fukunaga had been available and EON hired him back then.
It was a good first episode I think, I like that everyone seems to have a shared clear vision of what this film is.
I also thought Lashana Lynch came across really well in her interview, she was humble and a bit more relaxed than I've heard her before
Good effort! Could you do the outro track aswell?
It was a bold, confident move to replace composers; If this is new, and from Zimmer, I think this will bookend Craig’s era nicely . His final film will have a musical cohesiveness with his first , while bringing something fresh.

And another crack at the new track, just to get ridd of even more noise: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/377873771014389771/760850498852618280/NTTD_AUDIO_FILTERED_3.wav
It does sound lovely and full-blooded, although they were there before: I was just saying on the music thread how the Bond theme that the podcast ends on appears to be new, but sounds extremely like Newman's arrangement of it when the helicopters descend to capture Silva on his island from Skyfall- I don't recall any other composer using the guitar to play the vamp of the Bond theme before, as it does here.
Nice work again; it's impressive it can do that. Funny how it's removed the guitar too! :)
