Agreed. Though some of the shots in this b-roll footage outclass anything i've seen in a Marvel move. Maybe general audiences have just lowered their expectations when it comes to cinematography in blockbuster films.
My anticipation is that the film will have a more grainy and textured feel than this slicker video. I'm thinking something in league with Sandgren's more filmic work.
Lashana was the stand-out for me as well.
She works very will in this video there is also a very brief moment where she bumps into Craig at the club and turns to look at him.
I suspect this scene is her introduction into the film. She's an MI6 agent stalking Bond on the island and keeping an eye on hi dealings with the CIA. Perhaps there was some truth in those old rumours that she is 007 and it is her who recruits Bond back after all.
Yep. You can see the bridge of his nose on Jeffrey Wright's left.
I would be VERY happy with a Jorja Smith title song :x
Totally deserves the focus on her work, that a Bond song could bring
Even in this shot alone...
Guys, gals -- I'm on the verge of breaking down here. What a perfect first look and wonderful boost to morale. Been dealing with some really tough stuff personally lately and I'm speechless at how quickly the EON marketing team is getting its hands around the narrative of this film.
I can't even...there's just so much to love here.
Culturally rich.
Classic Fleming vibes.
Bond in a club.
Meeting a beautiful stranger.
Felix.
Awe-inspiring production design.
So much plot going on.
The vibe.
Out with a bang.
I'm so ready for this to keep going. Bravo EON, Cary, Dan, and all.
It really is a feast for the eyes!
John Williams hadn't done a Star Wars score between '83 en '99. So?
I am with you.
Precisely.
The time gap has no relevance at all.
Grace Jones?!
Bad Boys Bond 3? :-D
Loving what we're shown here. Just hope they keep it this colourful and vibrant. Had enough of bleak looking Bond with Mendes.
Me too, but with that music and visuals? It will take some beating!
This John Williams guy is a has been. Next!
Same
Love that transition shot from the map on the wall to the reflected room;
That was Lynch on the yellow scooter, right?
The club scene took me straight to Dr No;
They look like they all had a blast down there;
Fukunaga always looks so commited. Always in the game. Always;
I do hope they keep the colours and the vibrancy of it all, along with some interesting take on the music;
This plus the boat scene are gonna be iconic Bond moments for the ages, I tell ya;
All the film shots we’ve seen so far (on monitors) are so centered. Classic Sandgren;
The explosion at the end is reminiscent of the one in GF;
I could go on and on, this is just spectacular!
Couldn't agree more @Univex :)
I definitely think they'll keep the colours, they can't waste that and from what we've seen from Sandgren, this is definitely his style and I would completely commit to this being what we'll see in the final film, just maybe with slightly different grading (grain) and shots obviously. Not to mention a different quality.
As for Fukunaga, he is such an interesting guy. He feels completely modern and current, and that really shows in this video. While Fukunaga may not have been directly involved in choosing the concept for this video, it definitely seems to have his mark on it regardless.
We're seeing glimpses of his vision, and with that more current feel that Fukunaga projects, it could really benefit the film and the franchise. We know that Mendes was trying to bring the franchise, it seems to me now that Fukunaga is the guy to move the franchise forward while still honouring Eon's and the fans love for tradition.
Plus I love how it straight up avoids the awkwardness of trying to get cast and crew to talk about whats going on but without actually talking about what's going on. Always nice to hear tidbits, but with these visuals we don't need anything. Keep it up guys.
Looks like another Sun attempt to discredit him and Dan etc failed.
It would be a great way to end the series with a film that feels and looks like the bookend to Casino Royale.
Interesting thoughts. So Lashana could be Bond's handler. Potential for lots of fun.

Nah not now. But she is excellent in AVTAK. A great bit of leftfield zany EON casting.
