This film looks phenomenal. I'm getting DN/LALD/CR/QOS vibes. Great day to be a Bond fan. Hopefully, the final film looks just as gorgeous.

Well those of us that kept the faith have been rewarded, this Vlog shows we are in good hands and that Cary is going to deliver an incredible final hurrah for Daniel.

    +1
Indeed. Always had faith in Cary. Glad this supports it.

As a "Connery Era" fan that was my thought as well.

The Mendes combo had truly great cinematography work. You don’t see a lot of big action blockbusters with such a distinctive yet thematically poignant look. CR and QoS are both pretty great solid works with some great imagery. But 25 looks like something truly special, something in between Storaro, Freddie Young and Larry Smith. In other words, Sandgren.

    Absolutely @matt_u (Mr. Roark).

And something suggest a very kinetic film. Most of their camera shots are in movement. Note when Nomi meets Bond at the club, the camera swirls around her. And when the Land Rover comes in direction of the camera, the camera goes towards it, while mounted on rails. We've seen the same thing on the helicopter footage towards the explosion. And then in the Atlantic road. All very kinetic. Also, whenever there's a close up on somebody, its perfectly centred.

All said and done, a trailer mash of the 5 Craig films will probably be a very beautiful trailer.

On the down side the film could be drenched in style but not deliver the deft presentation and pace that someone like Campbell delivers.

In the end it all depends on the story.

But if the story sucks, at least the movie will deliver visually. Plus, Fukunaga has already proven to be a good narrator.

That's true, and he is a good writer and literature savvy. I doubt he'd direct a film with a truly awful story. But as you say, if the story does suck, we'll have a pretty thing to take home, probably filled with Bondian moments.

That footage looks amazing, it feels real now. I can't wait to see this film in all it's glory, I felt like I've just been transported to Jamaica, which is exactly how I feel watching Dr No.

I love that glimpse of Bond with the Harpoon (??) coming from behind the blinds, it looks so cool and ominous. Also the footage of Daniel at the end of the clip is possibly some of my favourite as his run of Bond, he looks like he did in Casino during the hotel scene, when he wins the DB5. Lashana looks great and Jeffrey Wright looks as cool as ever.

I was excited about this film before that clip, now I'm counting down the days. What a time to be a James Bond fan. This footage is exactly what we needed

It was a very smart move for EON to unleash this footage and get people excited and happy about the production against all the doom and gloom that has held control in the news. I'm pretty thrilled with what was shown, because it all looks fantastic and still nothing much has really been spoiled. I'm chomping at the bit to learn the title and some more story and character news.

Very exciting - and not even a glimpse of the main villain yet either!!!!!!!

Cary is someone with a very distinct style and voice, and while this isn't even a trailer, I can tell that this is going to be a beautiful looking film. I'm so excited!!!!

Looks very bombastic and hyperbolic. I prefer my Bond to be restrained, composed and British. But hey, they picked their man to do what he is doing.

And these are images from one location, Jamaica; imagine the imagery that’s yet to from Norway, Italy, London and more. We’re in for a sumptuous film, and dramatically, I have little doubt that Cary can bring the goods.

I must say I'm any day happier we got Fukunaga over Boyle (who is a great director but not my top choice for a Bond movie).

I have to disagree because of Mexico being yellow in the PTS.

Then again, most of the film looked yellow @Walecs 😂

I'm getting TMWTGG novel vibes from the nightclub scene...wonder if P&W will sneak it in.

I know, it’s wonderful; I hope the score captures these qualities.

The image of Craig walking past the louvred window with spear-gun in hand was enough to keep this Bond fan happy. Everything else in the video was a bonus!
Looks to be in good shape, and good hands. April 2020 can’t come soon enough.

I sometimes forget that the Craig movies can feel sexy and dangerous. Only the early Connery era feels the same way to me. It's still a bit of a shock, but a welcome one.

Wow! Looks as though the shots from 0:34 - 0:37 could be actual film footage! I never doubted the film would be aesthetically pleasing with the Fukunaga/Sandgren/Tildesley combo, but the bits we've seen so far have definitely exceeded my expectations. Haven't felt this intrigued by the general atmosphere of a Bond film since the SF teaser dropped. If the narrative/characters are half has vibrant and well conceived as the visuals, then we're in good shape.

Yeah, here's hoping. I also really hope that shots like we saw will be in the final cut. Unfortunately, what is often the case, is that the final version is so fast paced that we miss out on these nice atmospheric shots that set the tone of a scene or a change in direction in a scene. A montage of these colourful characters at the beginning of this club scene would be fantastic.

Fukunaga likes to tell a story well. I don't think I've ever watched anything directed by him that had that rushed quality. This won't be QOS v.2 (perhaps too rushed, with choppy confusing editing) or SF v.2 (overlong and stodgily paced with incoherent, messy plotting).

My main concern is whether the story is worth telling. If it's a good plot then I am very confident Fukunaga will tell it well and still allow us to enjoy the visuals along the way.

Are Radiohead doing the score for Bond 25?

In a recent leak online of new material, there was said to be 15 minutes of a james Bond score:
    https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/radiohead-minidiscs-hacked-ok-computer-guide-847277/

Has anyone considered Radiohead for the actual score? Both Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood have scored film sountracks before. The latter proving very versatile - if not a little irreverent for John Barry purisits.

Radiohead's Spectre thee was interesting, but perhaps not good enough for the title track. But I'd be more keen to see them do the score and then perhaps the song on top.

Plus they would feel like a CJF choice. Especially given Radiohead's bonafide cinephile from word with people like Paul Thomas Andreson.

I adore this track from Suspiria:

I really like these lush, saturated colours and grading. Whether the film will retain this look remains to be seen but it looks to be a very visually striking choice with the lighting combinations. I also really love the costumes, attitude and vibe of the club scenes.

In truth a colonial era dinner dance like Thunderball isn’t a real representation of 2019. This is and I’m all for it. And seeing how we drop bond into this world. One of bonds attributes for me is that he can fit in any situation. He’s a spy after all.

I’m hoping that fukanaga will make he locations characters unto themselves, rather than just a place to shoot. Looks like he may be doing that.
