    Klaus is still the legend that he is, being effortlessly cool and checking on radiation shields for the good of the world and everyone's collective health. He's one of my all time favorite minor characters of the series.

    Edit: I wonder who could play Hergersheimer today. Looks like an easy role but there are many subtleties that go into it. You have to be able to act happy, relaxed, polite, befuddled... and be magnetic within your anonymity.

    Maybe create a thread about it? There are so many things to discuss. Is Aidan Turner righ for the role? Or should Hergersheimer be black today etc.

    Did him and Metz ever make up? Or did their grudge carry on without end?

    I do love the scene between him and Bond. The fact Bond makes it in first and then he has to scramble to get in. Then the whole "Hey where is your radiation shield?" Bond takes it so far.

    A true highlight for the film for me!

    Let's throw a controversial name in the "whatever happened to..." ring! Hinx, the baddie with metal fingernails, imposing physique and a man of few words. Hinxx was a hired henchman by Blofeld to track and kill Madeline Swann and James! Last seen speeding out of a train. Did Hinx die, we don't know definitively.

    So Mi6, time to fill in some blanks, whatever happened to Hinx?

    Hinx failed his task. They found him dead... in the middle of the Moroccan desert, of all places. Two bullets in the back of his skull. They found Heineken beer in his stomach. Does that mean anything to you?

    After intensive physical therapy, Hinx waited for his revenge on Bond. He almost got it at the British gas works but sadly did not get a delicatessen.

    Oh man imagine if Waltz really was just Oberhauser and Hinx was the real Blofeld, using Waltz as a decoy. Would have been fun.

    Bautista could have made an interesting Pleasance-esque Blofeld, with the physique of novel-Thunderball.

    I like the jaws barrel scene in Spectre but why was it shot ?
    Did Hinx survive and change his name after surgery.

    These all are brilliant ! I wonder whether the writers or producers had in mind, with Hinx getting thrown like momma from the train, that he would get injured and look rather YOLT-Blofeld-esque, if, like Jaws, he made an appearance in a subsequent film...thing is, as much as they employed call-backs to prior Bond films, they might have though that a Hinx return would have been too Jaws-ish and seemed too humorous ? Nah. Easily avoided. Had Pierce continued, I'd have expected to see Jinx return. And I expected to see Hinx return, because of his strength - not just physically and mentally but character-wise.

    Yeah, not having Hinx return in some form was a big missed opportunity (one of many in Spectre). If he was deformed from the train accident and fought Bond in the demolished MI6 building... would have been amazing. I wonder if they had planned something but Bautista became too busy with GotG?

    I think that is what happened. When he saw other people getting parts in the subsequent film after his appearance, he didn't even need makeup to play his part in GOTG...because - here it comes, gird your loins - he was green with envy.

    Hinx had such a smack on his head whilst leaving the train involuntarily, that he lost his memory. He was found by a half-blind elderly lady, who took him in claiming he was her long-lost professor son. Hinx had no idea and tried to fill in those shoes as best he could. He actually turned out to be quite intelligent and now has an academic career.

    Didn't realize he has tattoos on his feet too! :)

    I would like to think he survived the fall from the train and was able to get back to a life of crime and intimidation. He most likely would still have the use of his fingernails and as such would be able to moonlight as a hand model for some extra coin.

    Hinx had a final battle with Bond as he escaped Blofeld's Lair, the jeopardy being the needle torture made it difficult for Bond to beat him. It was a great scene but no one thought of it.
    Alternatively Hinx had a final show down with Bond in the ruins of the MI6 building. The jeopardy being the countdown timer to rescue Madeline. It was a great scene but no one thought of it.
    Hinx then terrorised Bond throughout NTTD by replacing Primo after he was killed, as planned, in the pre titles. They were great scenes but no one thought of them.
    One can dream.

    I have not read ALL the comments above, but am I really the first to suggest that Hinx nd Jinx hook up for some happily ever after ? They play golf together because they like to hit the links. They have a place in the US Northwest where they keep wild and rescued minks. They both get sore muscles sometimes but each is good at massage working out the kinks...not to be confused with their enjoyment of other kinks. Sometimes they wear matching outfits, and particularly enjoy when they wear their pinks. They're both good ice-skaters and sometimes enjoy it at rinks. They both have the same favorite Disney character, from Peter Pan - nicknamed: Tinks. Once in a while - until recently - they'd meet up with Bond at a nice place for some drinks. They've consulted for security, including with armored vehicle companies like Brinks. Well...I'm done...methinks.

    Hinx finally found employment in an ophthalmological practice specialising in complete-eye replacement. He removes, the doctor puts the new one in.

    DISCLAIMER: I myself had both of my eye lenses replaced this summer, and I'm not trying to trivialise this kind of stuff.

    Thanks for the encouragement. In fact I can see the distance clearly without glasses for the first time in almost sixty years and drive my car that way, but the downside is I need reading glasses for anything closer than a meter or so. Or rather varifocals, which I seem to have on my nose a lot more than really needed. But I'm happy, and there is no trace of cataract left.

    Let's turn our attention to a lady who lost quite a bit thanks to the stacked deck! Solitaire from LALD. She had a gift and used it for crime and larceny. Like her mother she worked for Kananga and was able to foretell the future. She saw our man approach bringing death and destruction and was correct.

    Bond taught her a few lover lessons and took her virginity. Something that has never happened before or since. With that act of love, Solitaire lost her gift and was discarded by Kananga. Last seen on a train with Bond, I often wonder what would have happened to Solitaire?

    Did she return to a life of crime? Use her tarot cards and con people of their money? Or did something less exciting happen to this young beauty.

    So I ask you dear Mi6 members. Whatever happened to Solitaire?
