Yeah, I'm aware of what the definition of a spectre is. But the logo of the SPECTRE organisation has been an octopus (or a variation thereof) since Thunderball, symbolising their reach.
The new sleek logo looks way too much like a ghost though. Hence, my confusion.
Take a bow.
The SP titles could have been so good if they played with the visual theme of "ghosts from the past" and implement a generally creepy/sinister feel.
The final titles were overwrought and burdened with imagery. It was overstuffed. Much of this is on Mendes who made very clear in numerous interviews that he wanted the titles in SF and SP to reference and hint at things to come in the film itself. I hope to God that Fukunaga knows better.
Meanwhile the titles in DAD are perfect. They may be the best titles that Kleinman has created.
but that's the problem with Kleinman! His style was create in the 1990s and 2000s. He's a bit boring and predictable now.
I just hope to God that Eon use their brains and hire the Arctic Monkeys.
I hope Daniel Kleinman sticks along the lines of Casino Royale for Bond 25.
It debuted in From Russia with Love.
Here's all the logos that were featured, the first in FRWL, the revised logo for TB, and then the one from SPECTRE.
Ah, I had forgotten that it was visible in From Russia With Love. Cheers.
I can imagine, Kleinman is thinking about clocks– much like Binder’s work in OHMSS- and maybe some hourglass stuff – sinking into the sand.
Bah, it'll probably be the first title sequence with no naked women at all, right? Censorship everywhere. And no sexiness, right? Not even a double entendre, not even a phallic hammer falling into a sickle. No pistol coming out of an open mouth. None of that :(
Clocks with naked ladies as hands....that would do;)
As it must be ;)
It’s going to be naked men.
I kind of hope so only to make homophobes angry. :))
;)
I'm talking about the people not wanting naked Bond but desiring naked women. There's no reason to specify naked men disgust you unless you're a secretly closed homosexual
What if i'm disgusted about naked men only because that means no naked women? Eh?
;)
Yikes
:))
Make it last all night
