    Saw it last night, seeing it again tonight.

    THERE ARE NO PLOT SPOILERS BELOW! Tags anyways as in discussing any film in any fashion is bound to touch on points some fans won’t want to know ahead of time.
    Loved it, love the story they told. IMO in time it will be appreciated up there with OHMSS but it will take some time for some fans I think. It has to be understood that after twenty four films, they can’t just keep doing the same thing over and over again! All of the filmmaking was extremely competent; my friend and I agreed that this is some of, if not, the best action and cinematography of the franchise. There’s something in there for every Bond fan I think. I didn’t listen to the soundtrack ahead of time and I will say I found the soundtrack a touch underwhelming (listening again now as I type). All the supporting characters were brilliant, honestly, and I found they all had enough screen time. There was a bit of violence towards the end of the film I actually had to turn away from! A first for Bond; it wasn’t that bad, just uncomfortable.
    I’d want to tell every Bond fan “keep an open mind towards the type of Bond story that can be told”. We have essentially twenty four stories that follow the Bond template… and now for something a little different!

    So my parents' screening (I'm seeing it in about 3 hours at a different theater) just got cancelled due to sound issues. :|

    I would hope so. I had some problems with the film, but it was far better than Spectre

    Blast. I was freaking out at the start of mine because on the final ad the screen went entirely pink for several seconds. Thankfully went back to normal soon, but I was really thinking at that point the universe was determined for me to not see it.

    NTTD is currently 83% critics, which was 84% last night. But the audience score rose from 89% to 91%, so it should fluctuate for awhile.

    I enjoyed it. I’m happy with what we got. I wish that Blofeld, Leiter and Paloma would have had more screentime. I think the ending will be talked about like The Sopranos ending. It’s too early for me to give a full review.

    I saw the film last night and absolutely loved it. To be honest, with how polarizing the film is with so many people, I did not expect to love it. I just hoped to like it. But there truly wasn't a single minute I didn't thoroughly enjoy, and I have to say, that run time did NOT feel nearly as long as it was. If I hadn't known its length and you asked me when we came out of the theater, I would have said just a shade over two hours.

    I hesitate to give the film four out of four stars after first viewing (Bond movies always need a while to settle) but for now, three and a half.

    P.S. I haven't seen many people talk about this, but it has what is easily my favorite opening title sequence of the DC era.

    Indeed. Craig’s been a great ride. Took forever to get these movies going for one reason or another.

    To think at one time, people thought the gap between LTK and GE was too much.

    Was just listening to the 5 theme tracks. Get the jist of what you’re saying. The tone of the last 3 have been incredibly sad. JB needs to get back to murder and women for a couple outings.

    That's a bit harsh. NTTD is certainly an improvement over SP.

    It’s a paradox though, that Craig’s Bond is the most flawed Bond-character we have ever had, while at the same time turning into the most politically correct Bond ever.

    Short and sweet, for those still avoiding spoilers, I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would've. There are a couple of sections and a character or two that didn't really work for me, but essentially all of the aspects that gave me pause before going in worked as some of the biggest highlights of the film. It's easily Craig's best performance and a fitting, emotional end for his five film run. I can't wait to see it again.

    Love hearing that some of you have enjoyed this way more than you thought you would. My excitement was briefly wavered after the initial deluge of disappointed or middling impressions I saw. Sunday can’t come soon enough.

    I share your sentiment. That’s how I felt after seeing the movie last night. It only made me want to watch something like The Spy Who Loved Me or GoldenEye to cleanse my palette. I think the movie was decent, certainly not better than Skyfall or Casino Royale. But the Craig films just have such a bummer tone and atmosphere compared to the films that came before him.

    This! That’s exactly how I always feel. Especially when, as you mention, after viewing a new Craig film I immediately just want to go home and watch a classic like DN or GF or LALD or TSWLM or OP.

    My first reaction is : I really liked most of it, loved some scenes in particular, and was little mixed on some aspects - mostly the villain and his plot. But overall I place it 2nd in Craigs run, with CR in 1st and SP in 5th.
    Going again tonight and be able to focus more!

    You’re all forgetting that we already have an EoN driven Bond instalment coming up after NTTD which is the video game with I.O interactive, which is “the very first James Bond origin story”.

    I still maintain that whoever is Bond 7 will be Bond in the game and it will directly tie into the Bond 26 and the new continuity.
