I think Jack Lord takes that title for me. He was the only Felix who was arguably more attractive than the James Bond he starred opposite.
I think Robert Shaw would be high on the list too.
Robert Shaw certainly isn't a bad call either - although I always thought the blonde hair did him a disservice looks-wise, even if it was very fitting for the character. He was in fantastic shape, as well.
While I'm inclined to agree because I find him a hottie... he was so different back then. For me he's really grown into his looks with age. He's definitely in my current top 10.
I know a few people who think primo is attractive but he's not for me. Malek has quite a few admirers as well, but again, absolutely not for me. Too weird looking... but some women love that... kind of how benedict cumberbatch has a following too.
So if you put it this way he’s automatically the worst at acting since he was no actor. Nah…
A friend of mine uncharitably compared Lazenby's looks to Prince Charles's. That's going too far, but they do share large ears. His knobby features added character to his face and save it from the blandness of most models.
Moore's face projected great amounts of charm, warmth and even breeding (belying his modest origins as the son of a policeman), but without the edge of menace that Bond should have.
Dalton had the most classical good looks and bore the face of a Byronic hero (which Kingsley Amis once compared Bond to) and unsurprisingly has played characters like Heathcliff, Prince Rupert, Rochester, and Mark Antony.
Brosnan was a case of perhaps being too pretty and fresh-faced to project the slight edge of menace that Bond needs. It's not surprising that he looked more convincing after he'd aged in the role and put on a few more pounds.
Craig is the complete opposite of Brosnan: tough rather than pretty, granite instead of marble. He would have been masculine to the point of thuggishness if not for his eyes, which conveyed a note of spirituality and inner life.
One of the reasons women often fancy married men - those often are more confident of themselves not having to look for a partner.
And I think you can see that with Brosnan best. Beeing Bond was maybe a bit too much on his shoulders. He's way more cool in the Thomas crown affair, and in more recent films he rocks as well.
Connery was a model. In fact, an art studio model, I recall, vaguely. He had a number of jobs.
I find Dalton more charismatic outside the Bond franchise. Maybe for the same reason.
Brosnan, oddly, does better when he is not carrying all of the expectations of Bond.
The tca is one of my all time favorite films, for exactly those reasons. Brosnan really shines too. Ttop is an excellent film too.
In the case of The Tailor of Panama he even plays the anti-Bond.
This is true. Look at Pete Davidson. A lot of men say he's ugly, but a lot of women find him sexy; he's constantly dating models and superstars.
The people who think Craig is ugly are putting a lot of stock into facial structure (i.e. nose, ears). But eyes and hair are 2 of the most attractive things about people and Craig is beautiful in both regards. Also, his body <3.
Good points. Also there's a level of projection in men's assessments, at least straight men's: we use criteria we'd use to evaluate female beauty.
Connery may have been, in his prime, the most handsome man that ever lived. Heck he was probably the most handsome old man at a certain age.
