    My personal favorites :
    Fiona’s death
Casino scene (the best in the entire series)
Largo gives Bond a tour of Palmyra.
Bond gives Fiona something to put on.

@goldenswissroyale , I prefer the Fiona scene. Her determination and self-assuredness is a joy. "I shall kill him."

Definitely also a strong moment. Almost everything on Palmyra is a highlight or am I wrong?

I'm posting this in the 'extras caught looking at the camera' thread, but just rewatching the Quist scene, I noticed this:

When Quist is thrown into the shark pool, Largo walks towards the camera while kissing his SPECTRE ring. I believe he's looking at the camera directly after (and possibly also during) the kiss, as if he was threatening the audience. By the time his hand is down, he has subtly looked away, to the right of the screen as he walks out of frame.
I'm going to pay attention to that on my next watch.

Interesting, I watched Thunderball the other night and didn't spot that, I'll have another look.
Something I did notice however for the first time is the scene where Bond is walking around the pool at Palmyra. When Domino is preparing to get out of the pool it isn't Claudine Auger. This might have been a pickup shot filmed later or something.

@cwl007 What sharp eyes you've got! Never spotted a fake Domino so far. Something more to check out next time.

    - Bond in the shark pools
    - Disco Volante speeding between islands (yes, the bluescreen is unrealistic, but it's a great idea and a nice scene still)
    - Helicopter flight in search of the airplane

    I love TB!

Favourite moments include the PTS, the SPECTRE meeting, the mysterious Shrublands part, the casino scene, finding the Vulcan with Felix, the bathtub scene with Fiona, Bond infiltrating Palmyra, his visit to Largo later on and the underwater scuba action finale.

I wonder what I don't love about this film. Seems I like almost everything.

Your other two moments are good or even great but the Volante finale doesn't work that much for me. However it is definitely far away from boring which is already something.

Great to have a big TB fan here @GoldenGun. I must admit that I - like @Max_The_Parrot - have TB in the lowest third of my ranking. However, a mediocre (imo) Bond film is still a good movie and there is, no doubt, much to enjoy. Attractive women, some great dialogues, probably the best SPECTRE meeting of the series and a lot of sharks.

Time to start with the ranking. Which are your five most beloved TB moments? If this is too tricky for you, feel free to rank your top3 or also only write about your number 1.

Sorry i'haven't replied sooner but it's been one of the those weeks, and I'll be tied up for a little while going forward, so I hope you don't mind me getting ahead of myself, but I've gone for my top 5 rankings now just to make sure I get it in .

    1. SPECTRE meeting, such a great team-bonding exercise, Blofeld really should write a manual on his unique management style! :)
    2. The 00-briefing - I just love that set, a room big to fit the Vulcan into, that map that stretches floor to ceiling, the briefest glimpses of the other 00-agents, love it!
    3. Bond escapes via jetpack and DB5 in the PTS - obviously I'm a fan of the gadgets and the ridiculous elements of Bond, and this fits in nicely
    4. The Vulcan hijack and landing in the sea - mainly because I just think the Vulcan is such an iconic and beautiful looking aircraft, and the scene is played out really well with elements of surprise and suspense
    5. DB5 against Fiona's motorbike - hint of a car chase to keep me happy

Apologies in advance if I'm not around enough to be able to participate in the next round, but like Bond I will return .. and a lot quicker than NTTD!! :)

Yes, I find TB's finale to be extremely unspectacular for the franchise, overall (not much high tech in it, e.g.), but in these 1 or 2 minutes I like the beautiful island landscape and the suspense a lot.

Btw, I appreciate the reduction of the recent round from 7 to 6 days (could be 5 as well IMO); it's faster paced this way, and rounds could still be extended whenever the discussion is vivid.

You are right @marc. There aren't that many fans involved here and the ones who like to participate shouldn't be bored by too long rounds. I won't stick to 7 days for a round.

Thanks for your list @Max_The_Parrot. Hope your busy week don't go on for too long. There are rumours that the next film will be another one from Sir Rog.

That's a huge variation so far. It shows that there are a lot of (often only small but unforgettable) moments in here.
Good that you mention the Qscene @QBranch. I have to consider it for my list. Such a funny scene. Is Bond once less interested and “meaner“ to Q as he is here?

Funny that you listed the one with the fire alarm @peter, it even amused me more than usual at my last watch. Connery has great lines here and he knows how to play it.

@WillyGalore your number one isn't really a moment but it is never wrong to mention Barry in any kind of celebration thread. Do you have a special moment where the score stands out the most?

It's an interesting Q scene and one of my absolute favourites. Bond annoys Q several times, with Bond pretending to be surprised at Q's reactions. Love how Bond plays with the switches on the turbo tank.

Q holds up an ordinary blue and white pill. The close-up in Bond's hand is the clear yellow and white homing pill. It then switches back to the blue and white pill at the end of the scene.

    1. Bond gives Fiona something to put on.
    2. SPECTRE meeting
    3. Q scene
    4. PTS fight
    5. Bond in the shark pool
    Honourable mentions:
    Alarm clock or door bell?
    Clay pigeon shoot with Bond

No love for the mink glove?

There is love for the mink glove, haha. I would definitely spend time with the mink glove as long as Pat would also be there.
The women in TB are definitely very attractive.

The favourite moments are very different in the rankings and when I try to add the mentioned best scenes of the members who made suggestions but no ranking it is difficult to make proper list to summarise all comments. However, there is an obvious winner:

The SPECTRE meeting was mentioned most often and is also best ranked in the top5 lists we got.

Honourable mentions: Bond's infiltration of Palmyra, PTS (mainly because of the fight)

Let's go on with another Moore movie:
Is there anyone out there who has this movie in his top five? I'm certainly not the one but I rank it even higher than TB (!) and there is Jenny Flex and Tibbett in it...and a crazy pair of villains:

Round 3: AVTAK - Part 1: Suggestions and discussion

    My favourite moments:
    the soapy finale
the passionate kiss between Bond and MayDay

    Just kidding!
But there is definitely enough to enjoy for me. For a start, I like to only mention the car action in Paris, which is often disliked (because of the obvious stuntman?). I think the stunts are very good and the whole sequence (from the Eiffel tower to the ship) is very entertaining.

I always felt uncomfortable watching the (erotically charged) workout session between Zorin and Mayday. It's bizarre but fittingly so with these two. Also Tibbett's murder and the horse chase that ends with Bond's capture was very well done, very dark.

I can’t think of many highlights from AVTAK at the moment. However, I’ve always considered Binder’s title sequence to be one of his best. It really suits the Duran Duran song very well and it actually works as a stand alone music video IMO. A great 80's vibe.

I'm sorry, I didn't think the TB ranking would be over after 4 days. My TB ranking would have been:

    1. Bond in the shark pool/Palmyra prowl
    2. Disco Volante speeding between islands
    3. Helicopter flight in search of the Vulcan
    4. Flying & Hiding the Vulcan
    5. Bond visits Largo in Palmyra
