Your deathbed film.

This is not meant to be morbid, but if you are near the end and know that you can watch one, not two, not three, one last film, what would that film be?
Mine would, or should I say will be,
To Kill a Mockingbird

It’d be a toss up between Jaws and Lawrence Of Arabia.
But more likely Lawrence Of Arabia...because it has a longer running time. And is probably slightly better.

Considering how NTTD keep getting delayed, we might be watching it on deathbed, lol.

I would rather watch a long epic tv show like GOT so i can delay my death for a few days or even months.

I would probably go for something comfortable and very familiar. There are quite a few films that fit that description. At the moment, Ace Ventura comes to mind. The first one.

I'd have to go with GE, the film that started it all for me.

I would hope that I would have at-least of full day’s warning before I met my end (😊), so I could get in a final viewing of a couple of Bond, Godzilla and Film Noirs. My “final” movie would be, however, “2OO1: A Space Odyssey.” I saw “2OO1” for the first time in the spring of 1969 (at the age of 7), and even after countless viewings over these past decades, it still fills me with awe.

BTW: It will be on Turner Classic Movies on Saturday evening……I’ll be watching. In fact, if I ever joined twitter, it would be expressly for the purposes of boring everyone with my knowledge of this movie!!!

If I don't feel ready to go, how about "The Neverending Story" ?

If I'm ready, being male, perhaps "Titanic"...and just, slip, off, the bed because one hopes it would be more comfortable than slipping off a plank of wood into flippin' freezin' water...

As for ‘Ghost’ making one feel better about what's next -- depends on the life lived, eh ? You may recall the non-joyful exit by the villain !

As for having one's ashes scattered in the ocean post-Lebowski, hopefully your dudes will abide, but not on a breezy day...

You got that, nice. My serious answer would be Superman: The Movie, 3hr edition.

The Two Towers, if I’m only allowed to watch one of the trilogy.

I tip my hat to @DarthDimi for Showgirls, by the way

I’ve never seen the Donner Cut. Are there many changes to the theatrical release?

There are considerable changes they have inserted the Brando scenes back in which are excellent, and changed the ending to what it was originally conceived to be. There is a great opening scene with Clark and Lois at the Daily Planet which has been added also.

In order to create the narrative structure some audition scenes with Reeves and Kidder are added.

The tone of the villains is much darker to the jokey Lester re-shoots, though some Lester scenes were added otherwise there would have if I recall only 75% of a movie. Donner did not cut/re edit the film himself though did liaise on the project, there is an excellent documentary with Donner on the Blu-ray release.

Lester never shot any scene's with Hackman or Brando (did not appear in theatrical version) so anything you have seen in the theatrical version with them in was Donner.

Also a clear indicator of who directed what is Margot Kidder, her look changed quite a bit in the Lester re shoots Kidder had lost weight and her hair is noticeably different.
