Time for the seventeenth film in the EON series of James Bond films. After a six year hiatus Bond was back with a new adventure, and a new leading man, Pierce Brosnan knocks it out of the park with...

The trailers still made sure to spoil that twist before audiences had a chance to enjoy it back in 1995. I'm glad I was young enough to have it be a major surprise when I first saw it.
Sadly, I couldn't find any of Cubby behind the scenes on GoldenEye.
I think that, beyond the casting of Pierce, he wasn't really involved.
Yes, Cubby may have been ill at the time and he sadly died the following year in June 1996. It was the first Bond film without a producer credit for Cubby Broccoli, his stepson and daughter having taken over the reins. He was a consultant producer instead.

Ah yes, Billy J. Mitchell, good call.
Curiously GoldenEye is the second film he was in where his character died during sexual intercourse.
Further proof that shew always did enjoy a good squeeze!
I'm amazed. I thought they did that for real.
