  I know Norman had usrd part of the theme from an Indian melody and is credited as creating the Bond theme but until recently I believed Barry only worked on the Bond films from FRWL onwards. Turns out I was misinformed.

  I think the basic melody is Norman s , but that Barry restructured and arranged it and made it what it is. They really should be credited as co-composers imo.
