There will come a day when Paul, Ringo, Mick, Keith, Bob, Brian, Paul S., Elton and Stevie (Wonder) are no longer with us. A frightening prospect, but an inevitable one, as they are not immortal. For more than half a century (let that sink in for a second…a half a century), Paul and company have given us more music and more joy than we’ve had any right to expect. Despite that, it is all too easy to take them and their talents for granted. Let’s not do that!
If you think ranking all of the Bond movies is difficult, doing the same for Paul’s catalog is next to impossible (And I won’t include that band he was in during the 1960s – you know the won that may have had a hit record or two!!!). Today, my list looks like this (tomorrow it could be something different):
And as for “a” song, I’ll offer up “MULL OF KINTYRE”
♫…Far have I travelled and much have I seen
Dark distant mountains with valleys of green
Past painted deserts, the sun sets on fire
As he carries me home to the Mull of Kintyre…♫
Rock on Paul. Rock on!!!
