This was my favorite theme from the series, best show on TV at the time.
Loved Starsky and Hutch, classic T.V. show!
Starsky & Hutch was required viewing in our house in the 70's and 80's.
I would place him up there with Sir Bobby Charlton, Pelé, Maradona and Johann Cruijf.
New Yorkers of a certain age, also remember Beckenbauer coming to the US in 1977 to play for the Cosmos along side Pele.

Too bad. I have read his book on monster films and seen many documentaties with him in. Great connaisseur of films. RIP
He played a small but very memorable role of Joe Davola in several episodes of the popular comedy show.

In addition to directing the legendary FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (1971), he directed several of my all-time favorites: THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR (1968), A SOLDIER'S STORY (1984), IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT (1967) and MOONSTRUCK.
