Apparently, I found the 'Lenny Rabin' cameo for the Craig films ;-)

I had the impression that Tsai Chin from YOLT and CR was close to Patrice in Shanghai airport when Bond is looking for him. Might have been just an impression, couldn't watch it again to confirm, could be another Chinese old lady.

You've missed Lenny Rabin himself, if I'm not mistaken. An impressive five cameos!
    Goldfinger - Gangster
On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Casino Guest
The Spy Who Loved Me - Stromberg crewman
For Your Eyes Only - Ski-jump spectator
    Octopussy - Bidder at Sothebys

Albert Moses in TSWLM and OP.

What about Nikki van Der Zyl and Michael Collins? They dubbed about half the cast of the 60s films.

I'm also pretty sure that David De Keyser who played Dr Tynan dubbed someone in one of the early films. Or is listing dubbing artists getting a bit anal? That said I would contend that Collins is as much to thank for Goldfingers characterisation as Frobe.

Was Anthony Dawson on the list?

Sorry Rabin there is only one true legend and I can't believe no ones mentioned him yet.

It's only the bloody Herg himself Ed Bishop in YOLT as 'Hawaii to Jupiter 16' man and then in the seminal part of Klaus Hergesheimer in DAF.

In TMWTGG, Moore also plays the robot cowboy in Scaramanga's fun house.
  • Is it confirmed that Tom So is in Skyfall? You sure its not just another asian dude with long hair?

Also Dianne Hartford looks stunning in that picture from TB.

  • And this is our new 'Lenny', Mr Tom So (who played Fukutu in 'Casino Royale' and who is back with a bang -1sec. only- in 'Skyfall' ;-):
    006CSR_Tom_So_002.jpg

When? In the macau casino? What part of the scene?

I saw him talking to someone else when Bond leaves the hotel, he is quite visible.
  • Someone needs to lay off the candy bars..

What I mean is, I don't remember the actor being quite so large as before in Royale from that ?

Are we sure that's not Mark Henry making a cameo ; - )

By the way, this is our great hero Lenny, in case you didn't know him ;-):

Hey, I came across this thread in a Google search, the long haired East Asian guy that you see in the Macau Casino (for 1 sec) scene is not played by Tom So (Mr Fukutu) but me Clem So. Yes I am Tom's brother, so you never know, I could be Mr Fukutu's brother at the Floating Dragon :), either way, it makes for a great Bond trivia question.

Me and Tom, did actually work together once in Being Human Series 4, episode 1 Eve of the War.

Actually, i went through my casting agent and they were worried about putting me forward for Skyfall because of my connection to Tom. I suppose they were concerned that viewers might mistake me for Mr Fukutu :) ha ha whoops. Would be awesome though if they used me and my brother again as the Fukutu brothers in Bond 24. Think we might make an interesting pair of villains. We need a campaign :)

I agree with you. I would love to see the Fukutu Brothers... perhaps in Bond 25? :-? :D

    Did we get Mary Stavin?
She played an Octopussy girl. She's sprinkled through several scenes.
And then was bumped up to full-on Bond girl, as Kimberley Jones, the Mi6 ice-flow girl in AVTAK.

Oh, I think casting the Fukutu (So) brothers in Bond 24 or 25 would be great! Seems more possible now for Bond 25. I'd enjoy see both of them in a Bond film together, yes! :-bd

I´m all for it! The two of you are good Bond material! Would be lovely if the Fukutu brothers would appear a little more in a Bond film :-)!

The only person that will ever beat Llewellyn is Wilson, the way it looks.

You never know. Ben Whishaw is only 34. If he goes on as Q for to a similar age Desmond did and we assume a 3 years gap per film he would reach his 17th Bond film in 48 years aged 82. Could he manage one more at the age of 85 to steal Desmond's crown?

Although of course MGW could have set the bar at around 20 by then.

We would need to go back to 2 year gaps at some point for anyone new to pass Desmond. WizardofIce gave an alarming statistic. Wishshaw is only 34 and would need to be Q for another 48 years if they did 3 year gaps!!! It's possible to go back to 2 year gaps, heck they did it 6 years ago though the overall response to QoS was negative, so I think the preference at this point in time is 3 years. Best not to over saturate the product and put in consistently good efforts to preserve the longevity of the series.

Great thread!!!! When I first saw Skyfall in the theaters, I immediately caught a glimpse of the gray, long-haired man and my first thought was the same: that's Tom So! But when I got the Blu-Ray disc and paused it, I could see it was not the same man. It's awesome that Clem So arrived and cleared this up!

But I thought we were counting just the cameo roles. Q would not count at all for that. What all are we counting?

That is so cool @Clem_So. I would love that idea. Fukutu brothers as henchmen! I am grinning just thinking about it. Thanks for sharing the story Clem.

I think it would be funny to have
the old couple on the underground platform who witness Bond jumping onto the back of the train
pop up again, in a subtle way, in the next film and co-incidentally witness him do some other crazy stunt. :-D

So make the old couple the new JW Pepper in a way? Yeah I'd be up for that.

    This needs to happen.

I'm sure I saw Smithers from the later Roger Moore Q branch scenes on the sub in The Spy Who Loved Me. Is he in your list? Haven't bothered to look up the actor's name I'm afraid.

Are we including stuntmen who took small acting roles?
    For example:
    Richard Graydon
    YOLT -Astronaut - Russian Spacecraft
    OHMSS - Draco's driver
    MR - Space fighter
    OP - Francisco The Fearless

    George Leech
GF - Man wearing bulletproof vest
    TB - Disco Volante crewman
    OHMSS - Spectre skier
    TSWLM - Cortina gunman
    FYEO - Kristatos shark victim
