The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

Me too, actually. But would EON go for a second title featuring "finger" in it's name?

The sequel can be "What Bond can do with his trigger finger"

Always thought Death to Spies would make a good title, and drawing from the past in the spirit of TWINE

Great suggestion. Hark Back to SMERSH and the plot of TLD. Smiert Spionam is preferable but no-one would know what it means.

Death To Spies is probably the best suggestion I've heard. So many Bond fans suggest really cheesy titles. Someone suggested Where Shadows Fall the other day. Not a bad effort either.
  • If they are going to use a Fleming title, I like Risico and The Property Of A Lady. And for an original title Shatterhand, The Death Collector and Everything Or Nothing.

Uh Shatterhand and The Death Collector are both Fleming titles

Well, but they are not "titles" of a novel or a short story.

Death to Spies is a good title, but I agree it has to relate to the story.

It sounds hollow to me. With a couple of exceptions, Fleming’s titles were not ethereal or vague. They had punch and connected solidly to the story. Most of the suggestions on here seem to be more in line with the titles we got from the continuation authors or during the Brosnan Era; Forever Day Tomorrow Never Die Live Etc...garbage. Just because Fleming used (to infinitely greater effect) a few of those words once or twice does not make these random combinations of them Bondian.

And I think SMERT SHPIONAM would make for a great title; I don’t care who understands it or not.

That would be cool for me because in that case we don't have to bother translating it too much. It would be just: "Smrt špijunima". :)

    April is the cruelest month,
breeding lilacs out of the dead land,
    mixing memory and desire,
stirring dull roots with spring rain.

    CAPS LOCK TO DEATH

A film about a villain who does everything behind the screen of a computer.
  • At this point I'll be dissappointed if it's not The Property of a Lady.
