I'm not overwhelmed by that to be honest, the illustrations aren't to my taste.

I heard earlier that the first five minutes of Dominion will play before the IMAX presentation of F9. Perhaps trying to get more people through the door to watch F9.

It sounds like Colin Trevorrow is doing with the original 3 cast of Jurassic Park is what he would have done with Star Wars Episode 9 or TFA (which he almost directed as well): make them front and center, with the new cast.

That is just a TV trailer I take it? Because the effects don't look up to scratch there.

I think it is specifically for the Winter Olympics. It’s possible that it’s not even in the film.

Thanks! This seems to be a higher quality version:

Looks good, those dinosaurs wont be enjoying that cold snow. Great to see Sam Neil and Laura Dern back.
  • I really hope Goldblum, Neil and Dern have large roles in this film.

Agree, I am more interested in them than the new cast.

Are there any sexist misogynist dinosaurs in this one?

There was almost one: Sam Neill. A piece of Broccoli said no.

I want to be excited but the trailer leaves me a bit cold. Anyone else get that?

Sam's hat seems a bit small too :)

That’s Colin Trevorrow for you. He’s a leader in the Member Berries of directors, along with JJ Abrams. And Chris Pratt is way too overexposed. He’s not much of an actor with range. But I’m looking forward to cheap entertainment, which is Jurassic Park/World has become.

It looks like multiple movies crammed into one for me. The trailer was actually quite jarring visually at times. Bikes chasing bikes chased by velociraptors, etc. I'm sure it'll still be fun but I'll be checking my expectations at the door.

Yeah I think that stuff is leaving me cold now: I saw Ghostbusters the other day and that absolutely killed my interest in seeing people from old films in their costumes for surprise purposes again. Awful, dead soulless exploitative stuff.
There's been way too much in the way of member berries recently. I would maybe let JJ off as bringing back Han Solo 7 years ago was a pretty striking and great thing at the time, but so many others have done the same sort of thing since that it's becoming rather flat now.
(Also, and I don't like to be rude, but it doesn't really work for Laura Dern because I'm not sure that's her original face..?)

I don't count Indy 5 in that: he's been back before so it's just a returning character. And I will allow the caveat of the certain character who cameoed in Boba Fett last week, because it was jaw-dropping.

I loved the new Ghostbusters and am super excited for the new Jurassic World. I think many filmgoers , including myself, have become too jaded. I find myself much tougher to please these days and it’s not always because the films aren’t well made and entertaining.

I thought Jurassic World was brilliant in the way it satirized its own existence, going so far at one point as to seemingly make fun of the audience watching it. And Fallen Kingdom really pushed the limits of absurdity, which is exactly what it should have done. So I can't wait to see what they do next.

Also loved Sam Neill in JP3, so I'm sure he'll kill it here too...

I do feel that the gathering of the original 3 characters is also Colin Trevorrow’s way of giving the middle finger to Kathleen Kennedy and Star Wars. In his script, many of the other characters came together.

Agree with both of you gentlemen. I'm the biggest Jurassic Park fan but I think I'm dead inside - not feeling anything positive even When Grant and Sattler appear in that trailer. I want to give Trevorrow the benefit of the doubt but I just don't think he's a very good director at all. I would've much preferred Bayona back. The obvious green screens, pain inducing dialogue, awful looking cgi in places, inferior animatronics compared to Stan Winston's (I'm looking at you Dilophosaurus) , crappy Chris Pratt sticking his arm out to tame everything and anything In sight, the list could go on and on and to my eyes it looks like a b-movie. It actually hurts my feelings that Jurassic has gone this way.
