I honestly don't know at this stage. I think Loki is out for sure.
There will be some real casualties in the next outing because actor contracts expire after that one (unless renewed).

Not Craig in B25 is what i want,and Loki ,after 'The Night Manager' performance looks good.

I was in the mood for some peak Douglas. I considered several options, but settled on this late 90’s thriller, penned by Patrick Smith Kelly and based on a play by Frederick Knott. Directed by Andrew Davis (Under Siege, The Fugitive), this is essentially a loose remake of Hitchcock’s 1954 Dial M For Murder (highly recommended also by the way, although it's a bit talky). The setting is moved to Manhattan from London, and Gwyneth Paltrow and Douglas step in for Grace Kelly and Ray Milland, with Viggo Mortensen & David Suchet playing the roles originally had by Robert Cummings and John Williams respectively.
While the original was primarily set in one claustrophobic apartment location (like in the play), this film expands the canvas to several venues within Manhattan. Douglas is his usual brilliant icy cold self, and easily slips into the role of a wealthy Wall Street financier (something he does so well in other films as well). Paltrow is excellent and quite striking here as his vulnerable and much younger wife, who is heir to a large fortune which makes her an unfortunate target. Mortensen, another exceptional actor, delivers as well as a bit of a sleaze bag con artist out to take advantage of rich women. Suchet, in a small role, is absolutely superb as the suspicious cop. I saw him in a play entitled The Last Confession some years back and he blew me away.
This film plays out like a standard 90s type thriller. It’s well plotted and has sufficient surprises to keep the viewer interested, and even retains the familiar twist which causes the master plan to unravel. The excellent cast hold it together and give it bite. The great James Newton Howard provides the suspenseful score.
Brilliant cast ,and nice to see Tony Stark's grandfather .(Played by the brilliant Englishman Dominic Cooper),and Agent Carter (played by the brilliant Englishwoman Hayley Attwell.)
And add Stanley Tucci,Tommy Lee Jones,Toby Stephens,Elvis from QOS, and Hugo Weaving into the mix and i'm a happy bunny here.
Good to see the original 'Winter Warrior' as well...what a life he has later...not a good one.
I had no idea Gustav Graves was in the movie. I'll need to watch it again at some point.
I bought it in 1080p then in 4K I should have just waited for the 4K release, the 4K is considerably better I must say.
Thor entrance at the finale is good, though I think this entrance is better...
I've still not seen this. Wanted to for years. It was on BBC1 quite a few years ago. I set up the old Betamax to record it [it was on very late], to enjoy at my leisure. Following evening, rewound the tape, pressed play and on comes… Dick f––– Emery in 'Oh You Are Awful' I was enraged. Apparently, earlier in the day that had been a policeman shot and the BBC thought it would be inappropriate to show The Squeeze, so I've still not seen it.
Dogman (2018)
An excellent Italian crime/gangster thriller in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Gorgeous cinematography, great acting and a very intense script - with some almost unbearable moments of violence/vengeance, a few of those involving dogs (so not for the faint hearted).
The Looming Storm (2018)
A Chinese psychological thriller that focuses on the hunt for a serial killer in a small town right outside of Hong Kong in 1997, during the transfer of its sovereignty from the UK to China. It rains throughout the film, which adds to the very gloomy yet absorbing intense atmosphere of the film.
The Guilty (2018)
A Danish single-location thriller, about a police officer who will try to solve a crime while being tasked of taking 9-1-1 distress calls. Not one image of the film outside of his office is shown, yet the film maintains a very high level of suspense until the very last minute.
Lukas (aka The Bouncer) (2018)
A Belgium action/thriller starring Jean Claude Van Damme in the lead role, given the performance of a life-time. The film is very gritty, featuring several great action set-pieces (fight fights, car chase, shootouts, and one 5 minutes highly gripping single-shot sequence where JCVD raids a farmhouse trying to exfiltrate someone. A very short film 82 minutes) but straight to the point, with JCVD featured in nearly every frame of the film.
Searching (2018)
Another single-location crime/thriller, but a very particular one - the entire film is shot from the point-of-view of smartphones and computer screens. The film features a very tightly written script that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat for the entire 110 minutes of runtime, mixed with a very fast-paced intensity and a great performance from John Cho. Certainly by far the best film of the latest 'computer-screen genre' craze, and one of the best thrillers in the past few years.
The Meg (2018)
Extremely dumb but oh-so enjoyable action/disaster flick starring Jason Statham against a huge shark. The plot makes no sense, the dialogues are very cringy, but Statham carries the film on his shoulders with his usual badass & highly charismatic acting, and the rest of the cast also ham it up for our pleasure (Cliff Curtis and Rainn Wilson in particular).
The Equalizer 2 (2018)
Another splendid action/thriller for the legendary Denzel Washington, just as good as the first film from 2014. Very brutal action scenes, and in the quieter moments Denzel can showcase his great acting chops. I really enjoyed the final in the abandoned town in the big weather-storm, and the dynamic between Denzel & the young Miles. Pedro Pascal, even though his character doesn't have much screentime, manages to show his very apparent charisma. I really hope Equalizer 3 can be made in the near future.
This film has been on my list for years, too. I remember the fantastic poster artwork from when I was a kid, when the VHS cover (featuring the poster artwork) was listed among other classics in a leaflet inside the cover of one of the James Bond VHS cassettes I have.
Have still yet to see The Squeeze available anywhere.
Damn, no theatrical run in the UK it seems.

It took me years to get the DVD of it. It was always advertised on Amazon as the American region 1. Until I read someone's review who claimed they were mistaken in their claim of region, so I took a chance and bought it...and they were right. Plays fine. Great little thriller!
Worth getting!
Together with Suspiria the most scary film I’ve ever seen.
For psychological/atmospheric creepiness, The Shining probably has all other horror films beat. In general, that one and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre scare me the most I think.
What do you find the scariest? For me, it s the old hag in the tub.
Well worth a watch. Not among his best, though. The only weak film I have seen from him is FEAR AND DESIRE, but even that has its moments.
One of my favorites. Of course, there’s like 8-10 Kubrick films (out of 13!) that would count as some of my all-time favorite films. But Eyes Wide Shut is one of his most mysterious and gripping to me. I would say underrated, but these last couple years it really seems to be gaining a lot more positive attention.
Utter, utter dross but all marriages are about give and take.
The film hadn't finished and I was already interested in digging into the mysteries of the film, particularly the guests of the party.
I know what you mean. The theories surrounding the film itself and even if it got Kubrick killed are fascinating. It’s certainly an extremely eerie film that makes you think about a lot in life, from the psyche and faithfulness of a partner to the ideas and mysteries of cults. A lot of it I think is about duality and how people can have sides that are so opposite of themselves how they might appear in one setting/moment to another.
That opening seduction scene at the party is quite creepy in some respects, but also strangely dreamy and compelling. The now famous ritual scene (since homaged in other films, including a most notable one), is very well done too.
Great film.
Then you have a lot of great viewings in front of you.
