Since @QBranch has taken a hiatus until SPECTRE comes out, I don't mind volunteering for him.

    1. DN - Geiger Counter.
    2. FRWL - Attache Case.
    3. GF - Homer device.
    4. TB - Pocket Breathing device.
    5. YOLT - Little Nellie.
    6. OHMSS - Safe Cracking Device.
    7. DAF - False Fingerprints.
    8. LALD - Magnetic Saw Watch.
    9. TMWTGG - Third Nipple.
    10. TSWLM - Ski pole rifle.
    11. MR - Wrist Dart Gun.
    12. FYEO - Identi-Graph.
    13. OP - Multi Purpose Pen.
    14. AVTAK - Pocket Copy machine.
    15. TLD - Binocular glasses.
    16. LTK - Dentonite Plastique.
    17. GE - Laser Watch.
    18. TND - Multi-Purpose Cell Phone.
    19. TWINE - Grappling Hook Watch.
    20. DAD - Combat Knife Satellite.
    21. CR - DBS Defibrillator.
    22. QOS - Sony Ericsson Camera.
    23. SF - Miniature Radio Transmitter.

Granted this isn't final and if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
  • Thanks for taking the initiative, @Murdock. A few thoughts:

I'd suggest the explosive key-ring device instead of binoculars for TLD and the sonic-agitator finger ring instead of the knife satellite for DAD. I'd also propose the X-ray vision glasses instead of the grappling hook watch for TWINE.

Re: Little Nellie, seeing as she's a vehicle, I don't think she belongs in this game. Otherwise you might as well include the DB5, the Lotus submersible, the remote-controlled BMW, the Q-Boat, etc., etc. Kind of makes it a different game. How about the cigarette rocket launcher for YOLT instead?

@Some_Kind_Of_Hero, thank you. I completely forgot about both of those. As for TWINE, my criteria is gadgets that were useful in Bond's mission. The X-Ray specs didn't really add to anything other than showing Bond what concealed weapons everyone in Valentine's casino were carrying. Plus since I already have a few watches anyway that have different functions, one more won't hurt.

    1. DN - Geiger Counter.
    2. FRWL - Attache Case.
    3. GF - Homer device.
    4. TB - Pocket Breathing device.
    5. YOLT - Rocket Launching Cigarette.
    6. OHMSS - Safe Cracking Device.
    7. DAF - False Fingerprints.
    8. LALD - Magnetic Saw Watch.
    9. TMWTGG - Third Nipple.
    10. TSWLM - Ski pole rifle.
    11. MR - Wrist Dart Gun.
    12. FYEO - Identi-Graph.
    13. OP - Multi Purpose Pen.
    14. AVTAK - Pocket Copy machine.
    15. TLD - Multi-Purpose Key Ring.
    16. LTK - Dentonite Plastique.
    17. GE - Laser Watch.
    18. TND - Multi-Purpose Cell Phone.
    19. TWINE - Grappling Hook Watch.
    20. DAD - Sonic Agitator Ring.
    21. CR - DBS Defibrillator.
    22. QOS - Sony Ericsson Camera.
    23. SF - Miniature Radio Transmitter.

Hi guys, I've been keeping watch of this thread, but like @Murdock mentioned, I won't be around a whole lot, so @Murdock, you are quite welcome to take the wheel if you like buddy, let's see how she responds to your touch, eh? Also, the list looks pretty much like how I would have done it. Although I couldn't decide on TSWLM's gadget, the ski pole rifle is cool and memorable, a worthy addition to the list. For TWINE, I thought the ski jacket sphere thing should be included as we already have a gadget watch in the list, and the piton watch was less of a main gadget than the ski jacket sphere and even the x-ray glasses. One of these last two should get the nod, I think.

Alrighty, I changed the Grappling Hook watch to the protective Ski Jacket because that helped out a whole lot more. Other than that, I think we got a nice definitive list. :)

    1. DN - Geiger Counter.
    2. FRWL - Attache Case.
    3. GF - Homer device.
    4. TB - Pocket Breathing device.
    5. YOLT - Rocket Launching Cigarette.
    6. OHMSS - Safe Cracking Device.
    7. DAF - False Fingerprints.
    8. LALD - Magnetic Saw Watch.
    9. TMWTGG - Third Nipple.
    10. TSWLM - Ski pole rifle.
    11. MR - Wrist Dart Gun.
    12. FYEO - Identi-Graph.
    13. OP - Multi Purpose Pen.
    14. AVTAK - Pocket Copy machine.
    15. TLD - Multi-Purpose Key Ring.
    16. LTK - Dentonite Plastique.
    17. GE - Laser Watch.
    18. TND - Multi-Purpose Cell Phone.
    19. TWINE - Ski Jacket Sphere.
    20. DAD - Sonic Agitator Ring.
    21. CR - DBS Defibrillator.
    22. QOS - Sony Ericsson Camera.
    23. SF - Miniature Radio Transmitter.

EDIT: I have a draft set up with the usual +1 -2 rules in place. I just need to figure out how many points to give to each gadget.
  • That looks like a fine list to me.

How many points should I assign to each one?
  • Either 15 or 20. I'd say 20 unless others think that's too much.

How about these: The voice modifier or electromagnetic ring in Diamonds Are Forever, the exploding pen in Goldeneye, and the micro dermal sensor in the Walther PPK in Skyfall.
  • I take it we're not going to count cars as gadgets, since the DB5 would be an obvious choice for Goldfinger, for a start.

I'd say 20 or 30 points to start, since that's the usual amount.

What about the golden gun? Obviously it isn't Bond's gadget but is definitely the standout one from that movie. Not sure a prosthetic nipple really qualifies as a gadget as such lol

No, I'm not counting cars as Gadgets as we can have a Bond Car elimination game in the future. Here's the updated list. I chose the laser watch for GE as it's more remembered. In my opinion.

    1. DN - Geiger Counter.
    2. FRWL - Attache Case.
    3. GF - Homer device.
    4. TB - Pocket Breathing device.
    5. YOLT - Rocket Launching Cigarette.
    6. OHMSS - Safe Cracking Device.
    7. DAF - False Fingerprints.
    8. LALD - Magnetic Saw Watch.
    9. TMWTGG - Fake Nipple.
    10. TSWLM - Ski pole rifle.
    11. MR - Wrist Dart Gun.
    12. FYEO - Identi-Graph.
    13. OP - Multi Purpose Pen.
    14. AVTAK - Pocket Copy machine.
    15. TLD - Multi-Purpose Key Ring.
    16. LTK - Signature Gun.
    17. GE - Laser Watch.
    18. TND - Multi-Purpose Cell Phone.
    19. TWINE - Ski Jacket Sphere.
    20. DAD - Sonic Agitator Ring.
    21. CR - DBS Defibrillator.
    22. QOS - Sony Ericsson Camera.
    23. SF - Miniature Radio Transmitter.

I think this is what I'll go with. :)
  • Just to throw one more fly in the ointment, the Golden Gun will surely feature in the eventual Villains' Weapons game, and it does stand out here as the one gadget/weapon not used by Bond. Just something to consider. I'd be okay sticking with the superfluous mammary.

I'm still thinking over my list so nothing is final yet until I make the Gadget Elimination thread. I think the Golden Gun would be fine under the circumstances. I was tempted to use the Solex but I'm not sure yet.

Yes, the golden gun must go, it would surely feature in the villain's weapon game. Please bring the nipple back (in pristine order if possible), never mind that it's a bit kinky.

    Go for it, Murdock.

In the meantime, we can vote on the other game to follow the set design game, as that is soon finished.

    I vote titles.
