@MayDayDiVicenzo When the time comes after the Animals game, what about death by mechanical door for TLD? QoS: Death by axe?
  • PTS game is over, and the Bond film game is very nearly over. Which means that two new games can start very soon.

    Suggested elimination games were:
    -Animals
    -Deleted scenes
    -Secondary Bond girls
    -video games
    -Bond kills
    -attempts to kill Bond

Must say I'm not sure if they would all generate a lot of interest but who knows?

They have to be an attempt on Bond's life, so those wouldn't count.

Dominic Greene swinging wildly at Bond as the eco hotel blew up around them wasn't an attempt on Bond's life? OK then, you could just choose death by knife, that's the easiest.

TLD you could choose Whitaker's remote-controlled doll cannon.

I would be interested in doing a Blofeld game. That would also include the non visualized "hidden" versions from Russia and Thunderball, as well as the non official from FYEO. Anyone up for that?

I would, but unfortunately I can already see the outcome...

Sorry, yes, for some reason I thought he meant when Dominic takes an axe to the foot. The fight beforehand would count, yes.

Animals in Bond films - 4
    Deleted scenes -1
    Secondary Bond girls -0
    PTS -7 +1
    Best Bond -0

This was how the last vote for next game ended up.

I would say, let's directly start with the animals. So let them out. However, I would prefer not to take one for each film. Some films simply have no interesting animals, some have more than one. It also prevents that participants rather vote for their favourite film instead of their favourite animal.

I suggested Bond actors a while back, and my vote is still for that. Curious to see where Daniel stands now, after Spectre.

For the Animal Game, Max should of course be there.

Just given @MooseWithFleas the go ahead to start the animals game, but we also have a spot for a second game, now that the film elimination game has finished.
Thoughts on which game we'd like to have???

I will be upvoting the double-take pigeon. Hee hee.

I'd like to throw Bond Kills into the mix if I may. Thought it may be interesting to get a feel on the best kills made by 007. Also, secondary Bond girls as a possibility, mentioned a few pages back but not sure if there'd be interest in that.
Had an idea about another elimination game. It's more than likely something like this may have been done but I was thinking if one could be done on Bonds' Kills in the movies. I've made a bit of a list below, some obvious choices, some not so much. If it has been done before then all is good but, if not, would it be worth a try maybe? Cheers.

    DN – Professor Dent
    FRWL – Grant
    GF - Oddjob
    TB - Vargas
    YOLT – Hans
OHMSS – Man thrown off ski cliff
DAF – Peter Franks (or we could go with Mr Wint)
    LALD - Dambala
TMWTGG – Scaramanga (his only kill in this movie)
    TSWLM - Sandor
MR – The tree assassin (played by Guy Delorme)
    FYEO – Emile Leopold Locque
OP – Mishka (or Grishka) – The one he puts the knife in.
    AVTAK – Helicopter goons
    TLD - Necros
    LTK - Ed Killifer
    GE - Ourumov
    TND – Dr Kaufman
    TWINE – Elektra King
    DAD - Zao
    CR - Dryden
    QOS - Mitchell
    SF - Patrice
SP – The bodyguards hired to kill Lucia Sciarra

As I say, just a thought but if anyone thinks of any other kills that would be more suitable, all welcome.

Can we have more than one kill per movie? What about Sciarra in SP? I'd like Peter Franks and Mr Wint in the vote. Two great kills. Whereas other movies can only muster unknown helicopter goons - unless you count Zorin.

As I've said earlier, the kills that I've added in there are chosen because of how the kill happened or the ruthlessness of 007. Can soon change AVTAK to Zorin.

Some of those pics are very weak. Why not just go with the obvious best ones and jettison from the start those who are forgettable?

I had an idea for an elimination game with MacGuffins for each film, but it's not really a fully formed idea at this time because I'm struggling to find a MacGuffin for each film.

For stunts are we talking about one off stunts like the Union Flag ski jump in TSWLM, or would scenes like Freefall in MR be included (even though they are real a series of stunts)?

    Here's my take on stunts-

DN- Slim pickings here- the only scene that springs to mind is the stuntman who doubles for Bond in some shots for the tarantula scene. Depends on how you define a stunt, I suppose.
    FRWL- Stumped on this one.
    GF- And again
TB- Jetpack scene or hanging onto the hydrofoil
YOLT- God, this is really grasping at straws, but the ninjas sliding down the ropes into the volcano lair?
OHMSS- Willy Bogner skiing on one ski
DAF- Mustang Mach 1 two wheeled stunt
LALD- Ross Kananga's crocodile stunt, the record breaking speedboat jump
    TMWTGG- AMC Hornet corkscrew jump
    TSWLM- Ski jump
MR- Freefall scene (its one sequence in film, and its impressive nonetheless)
FYEO- Rockclimbing at St. Cyrils, skiing behind a bobsleigh, PTS helicopter stunt
OP- Hanging onto Khan's aeroplane, fighting atop the circus train
AVTAK- Firetruck stunt, some long shots of the fight atop the Golden Gate, jumping off the Eiffel Tower
    TLD- Cargo net stunt
LTK- Waterskiing behind seaplane, the tanker stunt, PTS plane "fishing"
    GE- Bungee jump
    TND- Motorbike stunt
    TWINE- 360° Boat stunt
DAD- Three people surfing on one wave
CR- Crane jump, Aston Martin crash
    QOS- Stuck on this one
    SF- Bazaar roof bike chase
    SP- PTS helicopter spiral

    What about "best hand-to-hand fights"?

Has it been done before? I think that would make a great game.

And every Bond movie has at least one. For example Connery: the elevator fight, the train fight, so you know what I mean.

Yup, we did that one a couple of games ago. You can probably guess which fight won.

I insist politely that you choose the window jump for TWINE. And Eiffel tower jump for AVTAK is also a no-brainer.
