How about an elimination game for each of the movies, based on how overrated they are? We put points into the one's we consider overrated. The winner will be MI6's "most overrated move of the year".

If you don't like that, we can do the reverse, where the winner will be the most underrated movie of the year, and the most overrated ones go first.

Have we done an elimination game for best gadget?

I'm also thinking we might do elimination games for something other than Bond. Perhaps best movies for a year, or something like that? Perhaps then, we can group together the winners of each year and make an elimination game out of that.

Alternatively, we could have a best Hitchcock film, best Star Wars film, best landmark sci-fi film, best landmark horror film, best landmark fantasy film, etc.

That would just be fueling the whole 'overrated' 'underrated' thing. That's not something I want to see happen, honestly.

    I wouldn't know about that...

Im all for this. Would be a nice change, instead of doing some of the Bond games over and over again. And animals? really?

Would be nice for a game for each great director. Spielberg, Scorsese, Nolan, Kubrick, Hitchcock and so on.

It's up to you guys. All I'm saying is that if we go outside of Bond, we'll have a lot more creative freedom.

That's a great idea. Why not having a third game simultaneously that isn't Bond related.
    Absolutely.

    There are endless possibilities!
    Hitchcock
    Star Trek
    DC
    Marvel
    Kubrick
    Spielberg
Top 20 Yearly Worldwide most successful
    Best 80's movies
    Best 00's movies etc
Oscar nominated movies for a certain year

Maybe one Bond game and one other. That way all the interesting ones don t get used up too soon. And it doesn t get too flooded here.
  • There are indeed endless possibilities, but some of those possibilities are too broad, I mean think about it - how many films did Hitchcock do? You'd have to go through the process of choosing how many to begin the game with and which to begin the game with and ugh that would be a while. But it can be done.

You could do Hitchcock in stages. Early and then late in two separate games. With the top 10 of each going into a final face off.

How about the top 10 highest grossing films, adjusted for inflation?

It should be something with a broad appeal. The Great Weekday Elimination Game could work, as long as people state the day of the week above their post. Unless it has been eliminated.

Right, but the highest-grossing films are all blockbuster favorites - Gone With The Wind, Jaws, Star Wars, Titanic, The Force Awakens, etc.

How about non-Bond Sean Connery films?

Who has seen all of those?

Who has seen all of those?

They don't all need to be included. I'd guess some people here like Sean Connery enough to have seen his other films.

Has there ever been one done on Bonds' best one liners? If not, could be worth a go maybe? One line from each movie?

Very good idea. One could also take the: "But of course you are" from OP; the "It's time to say Goodbye to an uninvited guest" from TSWLM or "Dr. Mortimer would be proud of his creation" from AVTAK but the ones you chose are perfect, too.

I think we should collectively decide which one is best for each film, otherwise we might be missing some or selecting inferior options like in the Great Kills game.

Could we just have best one liners, then we could have some of those classic Drax quips. For me, I think one liners means that they are comedic, so "and that's for 009" wouldn't fit in.

    Welcome to Scotland!

There is no way there will be a consensus about this. Should we first have an elimination game for each film? Or rather pick another game.

I agree with this. I've learnt that from my Bond Kills game currently going on. As I've said before I just wanted a variety of kills, how they're made, ruthlessness etc. But yeah, agree that before a Best One Liners game were to start, if it does that is, then agreement on ones included should be agreed to include all the ones we want.

Can we please do video games I really would like to know which game would win I would be willing to just focus on the main run (Goldenye N64-007 legends) which isn't that much and in terms of those of us who won't play video games plenty of you tube videos exist of all those games so you can at least see from a story perspective give which is best.

Good idea while the winner is a crystal clear case, but will be interesting to see what will come second third etc

Well I see three/four potential winners

    Goldenye N64
    Nightfire
    Everything or Nothing
    Or
    Goldeneye reloaded

But who knows maybe from Russia with love the video game will win simply because Connery is back
