  A few details on Tarantino's ninth, with Roman Polanski playing a big part, apparently:
  
  "Some QT-Manson updates: The role Pitt and Cruise have met on is for that of a stuntman not prosecutor, the Leo character is also Tate's neighbor in the pic and Polanski will play key role in film, QT going discovery route wants authentic polish thesp"

  I'm a huge sucker for skyscraper tales. As a kid I loved The Towering Inferno and Die Hard. I still do. One of my favourite scenes of the recent past is MI:GP's now legendary Burj sequence.
  
  So I'm all for this film. I just hope the inevitable CGI is up to snuff.

  Cruise has worked with the best of the best in his career to date, but not Tarantino yet, so I'm sure they will both try to make this happen.

  The article makes it out as if Tarantino has already passed on Pitt and will be going with Cruise, and I'd be surprised if Cruise wanted nothing to do with a Tarantino film, so I'm guessing it's all but confirmed at this point.

  I'm all for Cruise working with Tarantino but please God QT dont even think of working with Polanski. The man is a convicted child rapist and the only reason he hasnt spent the last thirty years in jail is because he ran away to europe. It amazes me how the great and good of Hollywood seem to be able to ignore this because he is supposed to be some kind of autuer genius film maker

  I can live with it because it was his wife and unborn child who suffered the brutality of that s*** Manson, and the film revolves around this.

  What happened to Polanski's wife was awful but i' m sorry it does not excuse him getting a thirteen year old girl drunk and then raping her. A crime which he was convicted for.

  I don't know why he would want to be associated with the film actually. I'm sure revisiting the timeline may bring back horrific memories.

  Two wrongs never cancel out. I like some of Polanski’s work, but obviously I can’t defend his actions. Still, if we boycotted films because one crew member had a bad personal scandal, we wouldn’t be watching films at all.

  And with the Harvey Weinstein situation, which not only affected Hollywood but Tarantino himself, there's no chance he'd want to work with someone as controversial as Polanski.

  I've appreciated Polanski's films. It's for the law to do what they have to with him, but as far as I'm concerned I won't boycott anything he makes or films.
