  The plot: the film is set in a near future where a pandemic virus is spread via paper money on Black Friday, decimating New York City and killing millions. By Christmas, what’s left of society has descended into chaos. A group of civilians, trained to operate in catastrophic times, is activated in an attempt to save who and what remains.

  I think this film looks so incredibly bad, it looks like a crap B film. I don’t usually ever try to make up my mind about a film before seeing it because I don’t want my experience tainted by this trailer I thought was terrible, the worst. I don’t think I could watch 2 hours of that nor do I think I should support a company like Sony who can’t make films.

  Venom looks interesting alright! It's certainly a new spin on Eddie Brock's version of Venom, who's usually a villain rather than an anti-hero. Also, glad to see Tom Hardy finally doing an accent outside his natural East End London one.

  It doesn't bother me, but hardcore fans will be upset we only see about 5 seconds of Venom across two trailers. Another subdued trailer, which doesn't bode well for the movies prospects heading into a packed summer of Superhero competition.
