In 1994/5 they were worth around 100K, these days a silver one goes for the better part of a million, if not more depending on the auction attendees. I'd assume driving a real one on a movie set is an insurance nightmare as well.
But the ones used on CR, SF and SP were real ones as well, right? I understand them going this route for the heavy action scenes, but for actual close-ups with Craig I don't see the problem of them using a real DB5, unless the insurance has gone way, way up from 2015.
I hope that we finally get a glimpse of him. B-)
Doesn't sound "unexpected" to feature the villain in the PTS, btw?
I just report this info, but as long as I don't see a picture of him I'm not goin to fully believe it.
Oh wow: that is a huge scoop. That’s a massively anticipated car.
I’m guessing That’s the car they told us they didn’t want the public to see at Swinley Forest also

Today's shooting area:
The orangemarked square piazza san pietro caveoso on the location map is where they shoot all the cars in the clip above
If so, we might see Craig & co there in sept.

Ever since watching Ronin in the cinema I wait for a Bond film (or any other action film, for that matter) to feature something on that level.
But from what we saw so far the scene in Matera could be very short as far as vehicles are concerned, so that the comparison with Ronin possibly has no basis anyhow. Which of course shouldn´t keep them from making the most visceral car chase scene the world has ever witnessed.
@00Agent Ok, thanks.
:D
Gutted if it turn out to be NTTD, but we could only go off advice we were given at 9am yesterday, plus this time the security told us it was for Tenet and Michael Caine was expected shortly. The weirdest thing was being told we were not allowed to even stand and watch, which was in total contrast to the Skyfall filming on the same location without DC driving the Jag. FYI none of the vehicles we saw had a B25 reference, but we didn’t stay for long as access was forbidden to the rest of the square from Whitehall to the location
Looks like a camera rig based on a Westfield or
Caterham 7
What upgrade rumours ?
Pray tell ..., (Unless it doesn’t fall under the ‘Minor Spoilers’ category)
I’m sure that’s be correct yes; in car circles it’s been talked about for far longer than B25 has! :) Not sure Land Rover will be happy!
I’ve been trying to find a similar phone camera clip from when they were shooting Spectre: someone shot them doing the fight on the side of the helicopter and it was more impressive than it was in the film- the fight was really long and watching it without cuts was way more impressive! :)
Well Eon do own at least one DB5: it’s been in the last few films (I think it was one of the stunt ones from GoldenEye which has been properly restored), and I suspect most DB5s that were built are probably still around today! Some owners actually do drive them like that too: they race them! :)
Just looks like a modified Seven to me, as said above.
Could we have all been wrong about the PTS after all then...?
